Best location ever

Beautiful are, much to do on the YMCA grounds. We have been many times and always loved it.

Very pricey, and the room was not ready at check-in. The staff are not prepared to handle the changeover of guests well, and so the process of checking in and then waiting for the room to be made ready was unduly long and frustrating. When we finally got to the room, we found it clean but showing signs of wear, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The linens were rough and more like dorm room fare, and the mattress was well past its service. Overall, the accommodations were not worth the cost.

I love the y camp. The lodge was like an old worn out dorm.

I was given a room right next to the entrance “lobby”. People were loud, a gathering place. The people above us came in at 9:30 walked around the room, continually putting things in drawers, walking walking walking. There’s no insulation in the floor and ceiling. Then they decided to get up at 5:30 AM and do the same thing so we didn’t get much sleep.

My son found boogers on the wall on the top bunk of one of the beds and on the fitted sheet. Our beds were not made when we got there, so we had to make our own bunk beds up.

The landscape, location, amenities

Beautiful location, great views. On-site cafe and self-service restaurant (crowded). Despite the large groups of youth, it was peaceful and quiet.

Sprawling location, takes some time to find your way around. They left a kid in his first day of work manning the front desk. Clogged sink in shower. Room got kind of hot, no air conditioning.

Awesome staff, comfortable and clean rooms, so many things to do, chairs on front porch for relaxing and enjoying the food.
