Shanthi Apartment 5

The showers flooded the entire apartment. We had to mop under the beds to get it all out. There was a drain smell by the kitchen. The balcony view is construction

Good location

The main door lock at number 5 needs to be fixed; it looks like someone was trying to brake in. It doesn’t close properly and must be locked to stay closed.

The set up of the apartment was beautiful. Very spacious and so clean. It was equipped with everything we needed and more. The staff were so friendly and checking in was a breeze.

We had a slight issue with the hot water. Showered in cool water a couple of times over the weekend.

The constant communication from the Booking agency-Ballito Booking was just superb. They continuously WhatsApp messages about the collection of the key, the servicing, the public holidays, departure etc. They were available at all times & assisted where it was necessary. The atmosphere when you walked into their offices was so warm & friendly & they were also so helpful with information about Ballito, where to go & what to do. We felt that we had made new friends with the Ballito Accommodation Staff. The accommodation was just fabulous- it was so well appointed. All the crockery, cutlery & appliances were in pristine condition. A lot of thought has gone into the furbishing of the kitchen & it was a pleasure to use it. The apartments were serviced well by the staff & it was clean & very comfortable. Having two bathrooms was a pleasure as we shared the apartment with friends- a fabulous size & well maintained. The jewel of the apartment was the entertainment section on the roof. It was well maintained & all the facilities were available even when there was a bigger crowd. The views were amazing & it was most relaxing- overlooking the sea. We had the most marvelous experience at Shanthi & have already booked for the end of this year.

There was no air-conditioning & it would be so much more pleasant if there was a lift. The doors kept on banging because there were no door stoppers in any of the apartments. It can get rather noisy if there are children or babies as we are all next-door neighbors & noise travels. The next-door property (behind Shanthi) was extremely noisy & their pool is directly below the rooms & the noise level from that property early in the mornings was most unpleasant. The direct view from the balcony looking down on the empty property on the other side, was most displeasing, but when you looked across to the sea- the view was spectacular.

- The view from the stoep of the sun coming up over the sea on Dolpin Coast was the highlight. - The big shower is fabulous. - Beds are comfortable and linen was in an excellent condition. - Wifi was good. - I liked the layout of the kitchen and it had everything you need to make a meal. - The rooftop pool was amazing - I want to come back to spend a day there. - It's walking distance from the Spar and restaurants.

- Payment was a bit weird, they reject your card in order for you to eft to them. But it turned out to be a legit business, so that was fine. - The plates don't fit in the dishwasher and there's no dishwashing tabs. - If I owned Ballito Accomodation, I would probably get another cleaning service. The apartment was neat but the floors weren't clean and it was dusty under the bed. One only realises this upon leaving when checking the apartment to see if you left nothing behind or nothing rolled under the bed. So most people probably wouldn't notice it, but it's still not ok.
