La Dimora di Pietra

Posto magnifico nel cuore di Gubbio, zona tranquilla e molto silenziosa la notte, l'appartamento è abbastanza grande ed accogliente, pulita e fornita di qualsiasi facilità, anche il letto matrimoniale è molto comodo. La proprietaria è stata molto gentile e cordiale, è stata di aiuto anche nel dare consigli sui posti da vedere durante la nostra visita. Io e mia moglie abbiamo molto apprezzato il fatto di aver avuto un diretto contatto di persona con la proprietaria, rendendo tutto molto più umano ed efficace.

If you are a fan of medieval towns, then locations don’t get any better than this. On a narrow quiet street surrounded by amazing buildings from several centuries ago. Truly felt like I was staying on a movie set. Easy walking distance from many restaurants and cafes. Fully equipped kitchen with laundry. Always felt safe no matter the time of night. The parking was about a 3-4 minute walk but it was in front of the police station, open 24 hours and was free. That’s a price I’d gladly pay to keep the traffic in the neighborhood to a minimum. Host was amazing, even with a language barrier! One of the most enjoyable stays I can recall having over the past decade of travel. On a very short list of places I can’t wait to visit again.

Gubbio is a great place to stay in Umbria. A superbly located apartament, two minutes by foot and you can enjoy city life to the full. Lots of shops and restaurants in town so there is plenty to choose from. The apartament itself is well equipped. Four people have plenty of space to not bump into each other. Everything is there, a well-equipped kitchen, washing machine or oven. The hosts are super friendly and ready to help or give recommendations. I regret that we were only with you for a week.

The apartment was very near to the center of Gubbio and next to the Teatro Comunale Luca Ronconi that was of our interest. The housekeeper was very polite and helpful. She gave us all the indications that we needed. This apartment was traditional of this place in two floors. It was a 5 minutes walk from the free parking of the city and all the restaurants. Our stay proceeded smoothly and this short trip to Gubbio will remain memorable. When we will visit again this very beautiful city for sure we will choose her again.
