Manso Hostel in DDP

No breakfast, good location near to train station.

It is good if the kitchen utensils- provide extra bigger size bowls, forks and spoons to able the guests to use. Thank you.

This hotel is great value for money!! I didn’t expect much from the photos, but saw overwhelmingly good reviews. This is a small hotel that spans one floor of a building literally 15 steps from Dongdaemun Station. There is no reception (self check in/out) but the place is secure with a password lock on the front door. The room is exceptionally clean, especially the bathroom, and the entire place has been renovated to excellent standards. I could not emphasize how new and clean this place is! If you are apprehensive about the shower and toilet being all one room, it was my first time using this kind of shower and I had no problems especially since separate slippers for the bathroom are provided and the bathroom is spacious enough. I couldn’t find a single fault with my room, the bed was cozy and there is enough space for 1 person and a large suitcase. During my stay I saw staff coming in every day at different times, so the entire facility seems to be well cleaned and kept in good order! I didn’t try out the laundry room or the kitchen but the restrooms (outside of the guest rooms) were pretty well kept. A bonus is the 24 hour fried chicken restaurant just one floor down. I definitely recommend for anyone who is travelling alone on a budget and wants a simple and ‼️clean‼️ room. It is easy to get anywhere from Dongdaemun Station and there are many authentic Korean restaurants just outside. I had a super comfortable stay and would definitely come again.

As people have mentioned the towels are kind of small but I believe this is the case in other hotels in Seoul too. Apart from that I could occasionally hear other guests at night, mainly using the hairdryer or talking but this isn’t a big issue for me. Also, the elevator isn’t super useful as you still have to walk up the stairs before/after using it. But I understand that this isn’t the hotel’s fault the building is just a bit old.
