Communication in the lead up/during check in was ideal

The beds and towels were clean but the rest of the flat was pretty dirty. It didn't seem asif the floors had been hoovered and mopped, plus alot of stains/splashes on the walls and table. The majortiy of the flat smelled of cigarette smoke, the bedroom with the balcony being the worst. The shower door was completely separate from the shower cubicle which made for awkward showering, but we worked around it since it was a short stay and let the owners know before checking out

The apartment is conveniently located for the city centre, communication from the hosts was excellent and the apartment was much more spacious than I expected.

The size was good

Didn't like there was no access to get in the building, no ramps ,so not wheelchair accessible , toilet door lock was broke ,cot was broke, screw sticking out of the floor where there's meant to be a doorstopper,shower I could not access, shower boor kept coming off and nearly fell on my sons toe ,had to step up to,,not wheelchair accessible, radiators is in bedroom was not working,kitchen table was filthy,table cloth was filthy, some one food and clothes left dehind ,you looked out the window and their was rubbish everywhere .

The flat was spacious and toiletries (such as toilet tissue, towels, etc.) were provided. The flat had a usable refrigerator and washing machine which was a nice bonus when travelling for 10 days. The flat was clean and the host was helpful when/if needed.

The distance from town centre was a bit further than we'd like to have been but that is not the fault of the host. The flat was also very hot and required opening windows for bits of time to cool down. The unit is on the 5th floor but in the instructions email with door code, etc. this was not listed. Considering that there was no indication of what floor the unit was on and no clear way of knowing how many units were on each floor, we had to search.

It wasn’t very clean. There was no way of turning the heating off and the radiator in the lounge had lost its thermostat connection, so was impossible to turn off. The shower door repeatedly came off. The shower drain is blocked, turning every shower experience into a paddling pool. The bathroom door couldn’t lock because the outside part of the lock was missing. The sofas were badly stained and really uncomfortable. The bedroom had stains on the wall and the overall cleanliness of the whole flat was poor-see the base of the shower and all skirting boards. My own home is cleaner and I don’t rent that out! There was no image of the front of the property released until 2pm on day of check in-pretty grim ex council building. Like something off a horror film.

Great location to get bus into Edinburgh. Flat has everything you need and the building was fairly quiet. information to get the keys and find the flat were very good.

Area around the building was very dirty. Mattresses were not comfortable and one of the window couldn't close in one of the bedroom.
