The location

The property looked ok when we arrived, smaller than in the pictures but still ok, however after some initial minor annoyances such as the time it took to get cable tv connected by the property owner, it soon became apparent there was a blockage in the sewer. The bathroom has a shared ceiling with the bedroom and had a distinct sewer smell after I had a shower. The owner tried to rectify this very late in our first evening there. We returned from dinner and immediately new we could not sleep there. Tgr owner tried to address the issue but this just made the smell worse so we had to leave our belongings there and spend the night in his other property. The next day when we returned the smell seemed to be better as there was additional “cleaning” undertaken in the morning. However when we turned on the bathroom tap it was clear the problem was still there- the smell was still there, it had just been temporarily masked. We decided to cut our losses and stay somewhere else rather than continue dealing with this issue in our holiday. Despite our request for a refund for the two nights we paid for and did not stay there, we’ve not had a response and have since been forced to refer this to Booking.com

Great location, accessible to everything. Room equipped with spacious bed and sofa. Staffs are really helpful. We thought about staying at caldera view hotel once, but we felt it was good choice to stay oia's cellar.

Our stay at Oia’s Cellars was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our every need was met. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and clean, with all the amenities we could have asked for. The highlight of our stay, however, was definitely the staff. They were always available to help with anything we needed, whether it was recommending a restaurant, or just chatting with us about our day. They truly made our stay special and we can't thank them enough for their hospitality. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unforgettable stay in Oia. The staff truly made all the difference. Thank you for an amazing experience!

The hosts were warm and wonderful! Had a lovely time. Despite there being a walkway outside the wall, it still managed to be private and intimate :) We also liked the fact it came with home appliances like an ironing board so that we could iron our best clothes after crumpling them in our suitcases!

Mattress was quite stiff but not a deal breaker.
