The owner was so welcoming, he told us all the details about Naxos and places to visit. The apartment seemed to be recently renovated or built and was very beautiful. We also liked the lighting that the apartment has. It was very clean and they cleaned it every morning during our stay. The location was also pretty good, as it's 5 minutes away from the bus stop and a max - 15 minute walk from Chora. Everything was perfect and we would definitely recommend staying there.

The only thing we didn't like is that there weren't any plates or cutlery available in the apartment, so it's a little bit hard to make breakfast in.

Our stay at Golden Birds Hotel was honestly one of the worst travel experiences we’ve ever had, and it feels important to share this so others don’t go through the same disappointment. The biggest issue by far was the location. It is absolutely nothing like what was shown or suggested in the listing. The hotel is isolated, far away from any restaurants or shops, making it incredibly inconvenient for anyone who actually wants to enjoy their stay in Naxos. Instead of being in a lively or welcoming area, it is surrounded by an abandoned-looking neighbourhood that felt unsafe and depressing to walk around in. The property sits right next to large rubbish bins, which gave off a terrible smell that spread through the entire street every single day. Coming and going from the hotel was unpleasant and really set a negative tone for the whole trip. The description and photos on Booking made us think we were getting a charming place to stay with easy access to the island, but in reality we felt completely misled. There was no atmosphere, no convenience, and nothing around to do without arranging long and expensive transfers. It was the opposite of the relaxing island holiday we were expecting. The room itself was no better. It was very small with a strange and uncomfortable layout. The sink was not even in the bathroom, it was awkwardly placed outside, right next to the TV. The bathroom was tiny, and every time we used the shower the water would flood the entire floor because of the lack of space and poor design. Housekeeping would only change the towels every two days. Overall, this hotel is not what it advertises itself to be. I strongly recommend Booking takes a closer look at how it is being promoted, because the current listing gives a false impression. For fellow travelers: if you’re coming to Naxos to actually enjoy the island, avoid this hotel. There are plenty of other places much better located, more welcoming, true to their descriptions, and not obscenely overpriced

La decoración, que todo estuviera como nuevo, las botellas de agua de bienvenida, incluso 2 capsulas de café, plancha, jabón para platos y esponja, varitas aromáticas, precioso todo. La atención del personal súper buena, servicial y muy amable, respondieron a mis mensajes y la comunicación estupenda. La joven de housekeeping muy profesional y atenta, se le ve muy trabajadora. Por cierto, para aquellos que se quejan del baño, creo que ahora han cambiado pero la puerta es de cristal mate asi que no se transparenta nada. De todas maneras me parece un diseño moderno y va bien si viajas solo.

La bulla después de las 23:00 no sé si por check in, pero lamentablemente se filtraba la bulla ya que estaba en la habitación del bajo pero al quedarme una noche solamente no había problema. Lo que sí sería mejor usar cortinas mas gruesas o persianas que hagan que la habitación esté mas oscura pero eso es meramente personal! Ya que me fastidiaba las pequeñas luces del aire acondicionado, la tv y de la luz de emergencia. Esas 3 pequeñas luces generaban una luz tenue en la habitación. Aunque igual logré dormir por el cansancio. :)

Beautiful room, cozy design and very clean!! The hotel is 15 minute away from Naxos ‘Chora’ but 2 min drive if you rent a car/bike! Very quiet neighbourhood, and next to a cafe, 5 minute away from a 24 hour kiosk, pharmacy and food! Definitely recommend! Lastly, the host was in touch with us before our arrival, recommended some good places for food, drinks!
