Arber’s house

Very near the train station. Very spacious, bright, new, and clean. Everything was generally good except for dealing with the host.

The check-in interval is not realistic: Arber charges extra money for checking in after 4pm. Arber also charged 15€ for providing another set of bedsheets, despite advertising a 3-bed flat (only one bed was made up). One of the window shutters was stuck in open position so in the first night there was a lot of light coming in. The next day he fixed it but was very patronizing about it: he asked if we had ever used shutters before, when we had obviously closed the other 3 successfully. So the problem was fixed but he was rude.

Very convenient price for what you get. Perfectly located and kind owner.

The bed in the bedroom could have been a bit better. The beds in the living room were ok.

All excellent. Clean and comfortable. Very nice that there was coffee, tea, sugar and basic cooking ingredients such as olive oil (of course!) and salt. Even an ice tray in the freezer!

The only thing that was a bit scary was the very delicate glass sliding door. We were very paranoid of damaging it! but that's a small detail, everything was really nice.

the appartment was very clean and overall well equipped, the location is great (very close to the central station for those traveling by train) and the check-in/check-out was quite easy too; all in all great !

It’s a nice apartment with a good location. It’s close to the train station, so you can have an easy access to Cinque Terre. They let us check in at the preferred time, the communication was good. I would recommend.

This is a great location to explore Cinque Terre. There is a walking distance to the train station, you can even see the trains from the window (good soundproof when they are closed). The apartment is very clean, the kitchen has all you need (besides the kettle). You can find a reasonable parking nearby (0.75 euro/hour from 8 to 20, nights are free), but it's not easy to find it in the evening. There is AC in each room. Bathroom is good as well.

It was extremely difficult to retrieve the keys. We were driving from Fiumicino airport after the long flight from Canada and closer to Spezia we were trying to find WiFi and message the host about the exact time of arrival. There were some delays on the road (construction, detours, etc.), so we came a bit later the initial time we intended to arrive, but 15 min prior we sent another message with exact arrival time. Nobody met us near the apartment building, we managed to get into the building and waited at the apartment door (5th floor with no elevator!) Nobody showed up. I knocked at the neighbor door and he called the host - no answer. Then my son was trying to find free WiFi at the station and messaged the host - no answer. Eventually, another neighbor was able to reach the host by the phone and 20 min later he sent his daughter with the keys. So we lost almost 2h waiting at the door which is unacceptable! Our evening walk in Spezia did not happen as we were extremely tired after that long waiting at the door, and we also were not able to find a reasonable parking nearby (too late) and had to pay 22 euros for parking at the station (for just 1 night). The host seems to not care about the guests arrival at all. Why not to put the key box at the door and provide the code via Booking as many other hosts are doing nowadays? We travel to Europe every year and never had such a trouble as this time. If you come by plane from overseas, make sure you buy SIM-card right at Fiumicino (you need a passport to register it and you will not be able to buy it anywhere else besides the designated shops), call the host and make sure he understands what time you come and wait for you with the keys!!!.

The apartment is 4 floors up but there is ! No WiFi as well.
