The staff and location.the guy who welcomed us was extremely friendly. We been very happy with him. Also the safari he prepared. The driver was super super nice and we saw a lot of animals. I really recomend it. Besidew, before sleep, on the garden, We saw small insect with light at night. It was super incredible!

The room and the bathroom was big and clean.

But there was no furniture, so no place to organize your clothes or towels. The host organized a Jeep safari for us, but we later found out by talking to some other drivers that it was far to expensive.

There is no such place at that location.

The property is located very close to the Udawalawe Park and the owner offers safari tours at a very good rate along with breakfast! The breakfast was quite good and very filling. The room we were given was large enough for 4 people to be in (two beds and two bathrooms). What really made this place special though was the owner. He is a very kind and helpful guy. He gave us a ride twice and helped us with figuring out the bus route and overall just really made the stay!

The air conditioner could be updated and the wifi was on and off again.

If you want to experience Udawalawe Safari, go to this place. You might need to pay in advance but dont worry, you will get what you paid for. They can also arrange transport services.

Great location close to udawalawe park. Madu was an amazing, accommodating host - offered dinner which was pretty much ready for us when we arrived, tired from a long journey, and a huge delicious Sri Lankan breakfast which was included. Room was very large (he upgraded us because no one was staying) for three adults. Simple, but for the price, quite amazing.

Air conditioning didn’t work very well and we were missing a sheet to cover ourselves. But for the price, it really was incredible. Mosquito nets and everything!

Great stay with the friendly owner and his family! Everything was nice and clean and everyone was very kind. The owner helped us with arrival and departure and literally did everything for us. We also booked a safari with him which was the most convenient option. We paid a very reasonable price for a 4 hour safari per person and it was amazing because we saw a lot of animals, had a super kind driver and the whole park was not that crowded.

We wanted to stay just one night and wanted to do the Safari with the host, then I got ill, had to vomit a lot and had high fever because I ate something wrong. Consequently, we couldn’t do the Safari and had to stay a second night at the Hostel so we booked through Booking.com the second night, which was legally and easy possible and we got the Conformation from Booking. But then the host typed us through WhatsApp that we had to pay four times more if you want to stay tonight and we don’t want to do the Safari because only people who are doing the Safari getting cheap rooms, but because of my illness, we could not do the Safari and we had to agree. And the host knew how badly I was ill. So if you do a Safari for sure I Think Everything is fine, but be aware of that problem.

Beautiful, big and clean rooms. Very comfortable and close to the national park. The owner is incredibly kind and offers to organize a safari tour (which we didn’t realize soon enough, so we booked somewhere else, which was also fine). They also have a delicious dinner option.

We spent one night in Udawalawe to go for safari. Concidering the price,our accomodation was a big surprise. The owner arranged a safari tour for us. Our driver was great,we saw many animals and visited also Elephant transit home. We had breakfest when we came back. I can recommend this accomodation.
