House is central to everything and literally on the beach!

No oven, no grill, we didn’t have running water 1 day of our stay so that interrupted our plans.

The hosts were quick to respond!

We had to wait for some time outside the house to get information to check into the house and it was already 4'oclock. The place was pretty bare, but clean. The clean towels were pretty limited and would have to pay for any requests for more. The pool looked cute but was very cold, we couldn't swim in it. The cockroaches we saw on our second last day, sent us running else-where before our time was up, but they did kindly give us a little refund.

The location was good with a number of restaurants, convenience stores, and groceries within walking distance. We never had any issues getting an Uber. Just down from the house is the ocean and a short path leads to a beach and swimming area. The unit had 5 queen beds. Each bedroom and the living area had its own air conditioning unit. There is a solar generator on the property but it only seemed to keep the air conditioners in our unit running and worked intermittently. My grandson enjoyed the pool and the rest of us enjoyed sitting by it in the mornings and evenings. I always felt safe in the complex and felt safe walking in the area alone during the day but probably would not walk around alone at night. We didn't spend much time in the apartment aside from sleeping so it was adequate for our needs while in Puerto Rico.

The beds were uncomfortable. The property management company wasn't very communicative prior to arrival with instructions on access. I had to message several times before they sent instructions and codes. We arrived on a Sunday evening and the place was clean but when I opened the kitchen drawers, there were roaches. I promptly reported this and was told they would send someone the next day. No one came until Thursday. They only supplied 1 bath towel per guest, no hand towels, no wash clothes, no beach towels, etc. There is a laundry room on premises but the dryer was broken and there was a major power outage that lasted multiple days while we were there so I was unable to wash the towels they had supplied. I requested additional towels on Tuesday. They didn't bring any until Thursday afternoon. By that time, I had already purchased some. The apartment itself had a very institutional feel with little done to soften things or make it feel homey (people in my group mentioned it felt like a school, a prison, or a mental institute). The hard surfaces made noises, such as doors closing, echo loudly throughout. The furniture was sparse and cheap. The hot water in the showers was intermittent.
