"Probably a good venue for a family. Not suitable for a larger group. Disappointing."

5.0

Good location clean and tidy

Not suitable for a group over 4 or 5 max. One small bathroom /toilet and only parking for one car.

"Not what we expected!"

5.0

Great shower. Nice to have tea and coffee provided and a packet of biscuits. Single beds upstairs were comfortable. Bedding was clean. Owner Jazmine was helpful and friendly and provided useful information. There's a key box with a light inside which makes getting the keys very easy. It's a cute old terraced house with some character. There was a hairdryer, iron and ironing board provided. The owner has nicely styled some areas with panelling and matching wall colours and bedspreads. The stairs are dangerously steep but made staying there a bit of a laugh. We were a group of 8 female professional friends celebrating a 50th birthday and we had a lovely time eating out and looking around Norwich.

NB I've spoken to the owner and she assures me that the issues raised below are being addressed. However in the interests of fairness to other potential bookers, I've included our honest experience as of April 2024. The property is described as 'Sleeps 8'. However, the fourth 'double' is a narrow sofa bed in the reception room at the bottom of the stairs. This room opens directly onto the street, and is the only route to the (single) bathroom for everyone else. So it's basically a hallway. The 'cinema room' does have a projector screen, but the sofa is very uncomfortable and tired, and no other seating is provided (three bean bags are available but they are almost completely flat - you may as well sit on the floor). The property was moderately clean, but there were some very dirty areas. The furniture was generally cheap and rickety, and some of it was actually worn out. Double beds were sagging and uncomfortable. The house is described as "a five minute walk" to town. It's actually a brisk 20 minute walk along an unpleasantly busy main road. The "with parking" applies to one car only with a residents permit. It's not clear how close the residents parking street is as we didn't use it. The whole house felt as though it had been furnished and decorated on a very tight budget. As a group of 50-something women perhaps our expectations of furnishing and cleanliness were too high. However I hope the listing is updated to reflect the reality of the house. As mentioned, the owner has said that these issues are being addressed.

Great location. Really close to plenty of restaurants/pubs and not a far walk into the city centre. House was in great condition and Jazmine the host was great. Would definitely recommend staying here.
