"Loved our stay. Would definitely consider returning."

10.0

Beautiful location. Fantastic building to stay in. Enjoyed the facilities on offer (swimming pool, tennis court, table tennis and lounge area). Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Plenty to do nearby.

Surface of tennis court is a bit uneven. We were just playing for fun, but some people might find this annoying. Lounge was a bit dark (even with all the lights on).

"Lovely property"

9.0

Excellent place to spend the week. The building and facilities are great and the location is excellent. We really enjoyed the pool area and steam room. Great for families as it has indoor activities if the weather is bad. Would recommend Beaufort House Pizza. Book in advance!

It's on the 3rd floor which wasn't a problem for us, but worth knowing if that's an issue for you. The apartment is in the eaves of the building and only has a couple of windows. This was ok, but I wouldn't want to stay there in hot weather.

"Really enjoyed it, great location, Charlie was very helpful."

Lovely decor, very well equipped kitchen and comfy beds

The stairs are a lot with all your luggage. Not enough hot water for two baths. People block booked the pool so in five days we only got in once! You need a fairer system

Communication with hosts was easy. Location was perfect. Really appreciated the tour at the beginning of our stay. Lots of sweet little touches in the apartment like cookies and milk.

"The overall property renovation felt very dated. The stairwell carpeting is stained and worn and the multitude of doors"

7.0

The concept, the history and the location as a jumping off point to other Highland sites. The #22 unit was ok - it had a nice kitchen but an over abundance of fire doors within the unit made it feel VERY compartmentalized.

The #22 master shower fixture was not functioning properly and the towel dryer/warmer did not work. Not a single lift in the facility so 4+ floors of steps to get bags from below grade to the 3rd floor.

"Ambitious concept does not fully deliver"

7.0

Location and he room setup, with parts of the old abbey, is gorgeous. So are common rooms (old church etc.) It was very clean and people I intercated with (once I could find them) were friendly. Kitchen was well equipped (Washer/Dryer combo)

As a $250/night property this would clearly be a 10. But the rate is double (seems to be even more at times), placing it in a self-proclaimed luxury category. This makes my rating pickier: - Some rooms have only a ceiling window (with a tricky light screen). The others view out to modern houses, rather than river and mountains. - The appartment is up 4 flights of stairs. No elevator. - The bed is not the advertised King size, but closer to Queen. - Bedroom holds only the bed and a dresser (and. mirror). No chairs, no place to put a suitcase. - No clothes hangers or hooks in apartment or bathroom. - Showers do not hold temperature but fluctuate between cold and hot. The bulb in a nightstand light did not work. - When you arrive there is no reception, but you are supposed to call a UK number. But there was no cellphone reception in the designated area. Nor any sign giving guidance. Had to walk around in the rain to find help.
