Great view. Rather clean and fairly conveniently furnished. Quiet area. Walking distance from a supermarket and the ferry.

Not a very lively neighborhood, you have to pay for breakfast.

Parking at the hotel was free (not a given these days). Very nice modern room, it even had fiber cable TV (Altibox) with every streaming service app you could wish for which was great. Also had a Nespresso machine and a mini fridge that actually was cold inside! Dinner was very good.

There was no soap in the bathroom hand basin soap dispenser but there was in the shower one so I had to use that. The Flat screen TV VESA mount was very basic and could only swing a very limited amount. Since it was placed in the corner of the room that meant the viewing angle from the bed was not good. A better articulated VESA mount could have been pulled out from the wall and swivelled round more towards the bed.

Great view. Nice place. No reception, but easy to access. Very relaxing balcony. We liked it. Breakfast was also great.

There are no restaurants within a 30 minutes drive, but 2 supermarkets and a snackbar.

Spacious apartment with good standard and a marvelous view of the fjord. Located in the middle of the municipality center of Hjelmeland, it is only a short walk to grocery stores, post office, library, the sealine and more.

The cleanliness was not 100 %. Otherwise, the apartment was great.

Amazing view despite the poor weather conditions. Room was clean and comfortable (though one room smelt damp) and we were able to access the room a little earlier than anticipated. Good value for money. We were met very quickly to be let into our rooms.

This is not a complaint but we feel the details on Booking.com should be updated as these are somewhat misleading. Although we were notified that the establishment had changed its name we were reassured that this would not affect our booking. For those with only basic Norwegian 'this building is not operated as a hotel' recently added to the name actually means that there is no on-site reception (less helpful when you are touring and not confident of an arrival time) and also, during our stay, no restaurant either (with restaurant in the name we'd assumed we'd be able to get a meal) - we were just met, payment taken, and given a code to get into the room. The description states that 'the hotel features a garden, restaurant, bar, and free WiFi'. This place is extremely small and quiet and the only food available in town was at the Thai on the ferry quay (really good and cheap and the kind lady cooked a vegetarian meal on request) and what we could buy at the Co-op, though no self-catering facilities in room apart from the coffee machine with few pods. That said, this is a very beautiful and convenient stop-off location and, if you understand what is and isn't on offer before you arrive, then no problem.

first, there is no staff when we check in. Second, 2 weeks after our stay, I received a message stating that 2 towels were missing from the room to be compensated for, we repeatedly confirmed that no loss had occurred, but without any proof of loss, we were going to be charged.
