The Goose Nest luxury lakeside shepherd hut in Cardinham Woods, Cornwall

Polly and Marc were so lovely and welcoming, we felt right at home! We had milk and eggs provided, which was so appreciated! The location is perfect, right within the woods with the beautiful sounds of nature all around you. You really have your own piece of bliss when you stay here! The hut was so cosy, especially with the fire and the bed - the bed is so comfortable! My husband is 6'4 and he had no issue! We would love to stay again, and I hope that we do!

Everything was fantastic, but it would have been absolutely perfect to have a cafeteira handy, and perhaps the use of some cleaning products - we stayed for a few days so needed a little refresh! Something to keep in mind to bring with you for when you book! Everything was gorgeous to be honest!

Such a hidden gem - a wonderful escape where every need was met. Stunningly quiet, friendly, warm, cosy and nature-filled. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Absolutely everything! The goose nest is the most special place we've ever stayed in Cornwall. I can't even begin to explain how magical and relaxing our Christmas was staying here. Hosts are fantastic people and the love that's gone into the goose nest is evident. Anyone thinking of booking up don't hesitate, you won't regret staying here.

The location was amazing, beautiful lake view, stunning hut, great attention to detail. Owners are very nice people, the whole experience was perfect.

What an amazing place! The Shepard's hut has everything you need, the bed was very comfortable. The view was stunning, even better than in the pictures! Such a peaceful place, very private. Lots of great wildlife, we saw a heron, bats, a kingfisher and of course geese! It's right next to Cardinham woods which is a lovely walk. We went to a great pub about 15 mins away called the Blisland Inn, very nice food and well priced. Marc and Polly were lovely hosts. Can't recommend enough, a very special place and we hope to come back!

Polly and Marc were very welcoming and were pleased to help with anything . As for the location it was like your own slice of heaven, the place is absolutely beautiful and the shepherd hut itself you can see the love that Marc and Polly have put into it. We loved every part of our stay and will definitely be returning
