Great location, friendly host, fair and accessible out of season price point. Good alternative to hotel for the solo traveller.

I was disappointed to find on arrival that the hot water was turned off at the boiler. As I only had a one night booking and this meant that I couldn’t use the bath as it would have taken too long to have heated the tank. Additionally the cottage was very cold on my arrival. Although the price was very fair I would have expected the host to have turned the water on a few hours prior to arrival and to have ensured adequate heating.

The enclosed garden is not suitable for large dogs, it's quite a small garden and the fence is only about 3ft high - I was asked to pay an additional £25 for my dog, this should be clearly written on the description before bookings are made, not told after booking that an additional amount needs to be paid separately for a dog. Again, having known this before booking would have allowed me the chance to weigh up other options in the area - in a message I received half way through my stay I was told dogs should not be left unattended. That should also be on the property description before booking. We were visiting a sick elderly family member so we couldn't take the dog with us all the time and had I known of this rule I would have booked elsewhere

Can’t say too much as I want to keep this place secret. It’s my little go to bolt hole when I need a break. It’s absolutely lovely, like a little retreat tucked in a beautiful valley near the Cornish coast. The cottages are compact but have everything you need and more. Warm, comfortable, relaxing and with amazing walking from the door and a great pub not far away. I’ve been here a few times and will keep coming back. It’s special.

Idyllic with the sound of a stream in the back ground. Ample parking and although a small cottage, designed open plan it was roomy in the living quarters. The bath room with an electric shower was fresh and new and the whole cottage was clean. Full kitchen with a fridge with an ice box for your freezer blocks to keep your packed lunches and drinks cool, microwave, full cooker so could live there. This was close to a celebration we were going to and the closest we could get to it, it is about 1.6 miles from the sea by car 6 minutes or 38 minutes walk (weren't there long enough to do either)

Bed was small (or smaller then used too) and did struggle to get to sleep (should have pushed the wife out into a single next door bedroom with son thinking about it)

Loved everything, clean and comfortable, lovely walk to the beach with beautiful views. When the tide is out, it's all sandy. The lady went out of her way to help us. The Internet was fab and Netflix in every room. Also, games are left out to play by host. Comfortable beds will return

Little more info on how to switch on hot water, mattresses were very soft, a few bulbs were broken and no hanging space.
