Historic Rooms and Apartments in the City Centre of Bolzano

I stayed in this accommodation in Bolzano for three nights, and unfortunately, the experience—especially in Room 3—was very disappointing and far from what I expected. While the location was convenient and the toilet appeared new, that’s sadly where the positives end. Room 3 was extremely small and absolutely not suitable for two people. It felt more appropriate for a single person staying just one night. The bed was very narrow and attached directly to the wall, making it uncomfortable for two people to sleep. There was no nightstand to place personal items like glasses or a phone, and only one chair in the entire room. There was also no wardrobe or chest of drawers—nowhere to store clothing. The hairdryer was another issue: it would overheat and stop working after 2–3 minutes, leaving hair half-dry and the rest up to your luck. There was a small cupboard with some plates inside, but they hadn’t been cleaned properly for a long time. There wasn’t even a proper place to wash them. If the room had been better designed, it could have been a cozy space despite the size, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. For more than €100 per night, the overall experience was not acceptable. We even tried ordering food one night but had nowhere to sit or eat properly—there wasn’t even a small table. Additional issues included: • The garbage lid in the toilet was broken. • On arrival, the bedsheets had not been changed recently. • The room had visible dust and even spiders. We asked for the room to be cleaned, and communication with the owner was actually good on that front. I recommend reaching out to the owner in advance to clarify what room you’ll be getting, as the photos can be misleading (they show another, better room that looks nothing like Room 3). Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying in Room 3 unless changes are made. It felt claustrophobic and poorly maintained.

Leaving 1☆ for the location. The room is dirty, there are cobwebs on the ceiling, towels and bed linen have the smell of cigarettes. Most likely, it is drying in a place where people smoke endlessly. The furniture includes a bed, a useless drawer, which is already filled with unnecessary objects such as vase and bucket, and a dying plant drying out without water. Everything is very messy and soulless. Seems that the place is saturated with greed and profit. Each guest is promised "Bolzano card" but of course you won't receive it.. There is absolutely nowhere to put belongings (although we have very few of them). There is no bedside table, no table, no closet, not a single extra hook to hook things. The owner responded to the messages indifferently and it was clear that he completely didn't care about the comfort of the guests. He apologized for the description not reflecting reality and said he would change it in the future, but this never happened. He also asks for a city tax higher than what is written in your reservation. I understand that the region is not cheap, but during our entire trip to Tyrol and South Tyrol, we stopped at many places of approximately the same price segment and this place is the worst in everything.

The apartment is very good and located in downtown, very close to the majority of Bolzano touristic points. It is in ZTL zone, but there is a parking around 400m from the apartment where you can leave your car. Julian has provided all necessary details requested during check-in and check-out. I really recommend this apartment.

Only thing I missed was some cleaning stuff (broom, for example) in the apartment.

We really loved our apartment. It was clean comfortable and well equipped, and in a great location. Julian was most accommodating and we were able to access the apartment prior to the designated time. The housekeeping staff were very good too. Really good showers.

We liked everything apart this apartment.

The location of this apartment is strategic. The host is fantastic, very responsive and accommodating. It is a lovely modern home with all the amenities you need to make this a comfortable stay.

Perhaps having some pan lids would help with the cooking. Again, not a big issue but we were trying to cover our pans while cooking to keep the kitchen as clean as possible, but there weren't any for us to use.

Fabulous location in the centre of Bolzano, within walking distance of the train station and lots of restaurants and bars all around the area. The double room was very clean and modern and had a coffee machine and a kettle too The owner responded quickly to questions asked. The Bolzano card is a massive bonus giving access to buses, trains, cable cars and museums.

No wardrobe or storage space at all so you cannot unpack your case, as nowhere to hang anything. The room itself is rather small and spartan. The double bed is up against the wall at one side. The main lighting in the room was a bit intense and the bedside lights defunct.
