Hotel Celare, Cincinnati Midtown, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

We loved everything about this property! The rooms are so clean and comfortable, and the restaurant and rooftop bar was first class! We very much enjoyed our stay here!

The only thing I didn’t like about this property is there’s no pool. That’s the only thing we didn’t like.

We were kept up all night by a moisture sensor (think fire alarm). We went to the front desk many times and not only was there no maintenance to help, but no manager in the building, and no extra rooms. The only person was a trainee. We got absolutely no sleep, and no one came to fix it until 9 am despite us going down hourly. We were assured that the manager (whenever he got to work) would contact us directly. I left my card. I still hadn’t heard anything the next night so I left several emails. Then I called. I was transferred “to the manager” several times and no one picked up. I left voicemails. Finally, THREE days after our stay, I talked Rezan. He did not offer much in the way of apology, but after some back and forth agreed that if Booking confirmed my refund request, he would refund the whole amount. Guess what? He denied the refund request and is not responding to my calls. So you may be kept up the entire night by an alarm here and have to pay full price. Or your room could flood, or whatever. Just imagine this level of unprofessionalism.

I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. I also liked proximity to University and downtown.

The shower door leaked, leaving a puddle of water outside the shower.

The parking. I feel every hotel should have their own parking lot
