Ramada Encore by Wyndham Gimpo Han River Hotel

Near to Mall.

I had requested an early check-in, which was replied back on message saying, subject to availability. When we reached it was 11.30 AM we were denied the room as she said it is too early to ready the room. The front desk lady said if we pay for one day they can give the room. I agreed, and immediately, the room was given. The second room was given at 3.00 PM. We stayed in the same room for all the days. It means that the room was available but denied to be issued 3 hours earlier to make extra money. The guests who have travelled from the Middle East, after 20 hours of journey, are denied rooms on the face to make extra money. This gives such a bad first impression of S Korea, but this is not true. S Koreans are sweet and kind personnel. I hope the hotel takes this review seriously and works towards providing better service to long-haul travellers. The breakfast is the same every day. There is no food service in the rooms. The restaurant does not operate for lunch or dinner. The dinner is by bhc chicken, who only serves chicken dishes.

Beautiful

It’s a very nice place to crash if you busy visiting and shopping because the room is big and you can store a lot of stuff. Front desk staff spoke English and was even able to call me a taxi when asked.

It’s far from the station and the directions from the Gochon station list the wrong exit. Also there is a unmanned convenience store inside the hotel. I wanted to buy noodles and there was someone stocking the shelves and I asked if there were more. The clerk said no and didn’t go get more or bother to tell me where I could get more. There were no other utensils and all the food need at minimum a fork I couldn’t eat anything and there is no store nearby.

Comfortable, clean room and friendly staff.

There was no bar at the hotel, although there’s a convenience store and fried chicken place (bhc, which is good) within the premises.
