Property was perfect

The cottage is the perfect amount of cosy and comfortable. The fireplace inside provides a warm atmosphere on chilly evenings and the heated hot tub is perfect to lounge in during the day. The views are amazing from all angles, providing tranquility and peace away from the hustle and bustle of busy city life.

I was not expecting the bathroom to be located in a separate building outside the cottage. It's not a deal-breaker, but I'll be sure to pack easy slip-on shoes to walk on the gravel path next time.

Stunning location with amazing views across the farm, loved being able to watch the wildlife from the decking area and hot tub. Comfy beds, well equipped cottage with everything provided for a night away with friends.

We stumbled upon the hidden gem that is Les Wings Ostrich Cottage, and what a delightful discovery it turned out to be! Our stay in this charming, well-equipped cottage was nothing short of extraordinary. Inge, our gracious host, has meticulously considered every detail to ensure a comfortable experience, providing essentials like tin foil, cling wrap, bug spray, and an array of fantastic spices for the braai, along with olive oil and vinegar. The inclusion of Charlotte Rhys products in the bathroom added a touch of luxury. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by a lively group of turkeys and a collection of hens accompanied by a friendly rooster, creating a delightful atmosphere around the cottage. However, the true highlight was the magnificent deck, complete with comfortable sunshaded pool chair/bed and a wood-fired hot tub. This served as both a refreshing pool during the day and a warm soak in the evening. The real magic happened on the deck as we enjoyed the breathtaking views of zebras, springbok, ostriches and buffalo, not to mention the captivating birdlife who love the prickly pears, including sugarbirds, mousebirds, and even three Vereaux Eagles. While Inge generously offered a game drive around the farm with her son, we found ourselves more than content to relax on the deck, savouring the unique and special experience Les Wings Ostrich Cottage had to offer. Overall, it's a haven for nature lovers and those seeking a tranquil retreat, where the beauty of the surroundings and the thoughtful details make for an unforgettable stay.

While it's not a major issue for us with our high clearance vehicle, navigating the dirt road might be considerably slow due to some significant ruts, particularly for standard vehicles.

5 star service, it was raining so we were met at the car with umbrellas and hot face cloths plus orange juice. The 3 course dinner was great. Room was massive and super comfortable.
