BmyGuest Collection - The Marquis Luxury Garden Apartment

Lovely apartment over two floors (be ready for stairs) with a functioning kitchen and lovely garden space with a hot tub. Good location just outside the main city centre and close to the metro. Enough space for 6 adults.

Only 2 sets of keys provided so we had to go out in groups and couldn't be independent of each other on holiday. This would be such an easy fix, please provide at least 3 sets of keys when you have 3 bedrooms. The hottub had a fixed routine and we couldn't change it, this level of lockdown seems unnecessary and took some of the enjoyment away.

I liked the garden and the garden room very much

The seating in the living room was poor : the sofa was broken and the chairs uncomfortable. The en-suite bathroom in the main house smelt of drains and was too small to use comfortably. The kitchen lacked some important equipment Eg a grater, a spatula or a fish slice a small saucepan, scissors

Rotting floorboards in one bathroom gave off a bad smell and potentially dangerous. Fan in another bathroom wouldn't turn off and there was some mould in the other downstairs bathroom

Location was excellent, host lovely and quick to respond, apartment and garden spacious and clean. Showers hot, although quite a small shower cubicle in the twin room en suite. Great that bath robes and towels provided and a coffee machine, kettle and toaster. Beds in main house were very comfy. Loved that a marshall speaker for music was provided in the annex that was easy to hook up to via bluetooth.

Bed in annex very creaky when rising from it. Pillows a little lumpy and sheet kept coming away from the corners. Would have been great if small milk cartons and sugar could have been provided with coffee pods and if a toaster and more crockery could have been provided in the annex. Hot tub stopped working and needed re-filling- would have been good to know from the start that this was necessary when water levels were low. Also, whilst it heated up to a good temperature it then gradually dropped and there wasn't a way of keeping it high. Would have liked it better if a good temperature had been maintaned.

The aesthetic is there - it looks very pretty (until the first two nights pass when you see some stuff are worn out and not thought through). The terrace is lovely and jacuzzi is also a highlight. The staff was helpful and nice, also responded very fast!

1. The rooms were equipped differently - for instance one room had only one big blanket, which I think is a miss and should be asked in advance. The second blanket was delivered fast though. Another room had two bathrobes, while others had only one bathrobe. Some rooms had garden towels, some not. In general you would expect to have at least soap and some slippers, but only shower gel and shampoo were provided in the shower itself (the soap dispenser was empty). 2. The air con was impossible to switch on, it smelled like it was never cleaned, so we had to sleep in a very cold room. The tiles in the bathroom were also very cold. 3. The toilet paper was the cheapest ever (one layer), also all of our rooms ran out of it one day before departure, so it was not enough. 4. The bathrooms would definitely benefit from a shelf in the shower and a shelf on the wall, it was very inconvenient to use. Also more hooks should be added. 5. In general the place could have little touch up here and there - for instance the couch was broken, one of the beds was very creaky, the chairs were unstable, one bathroom has a slightly covered hole in the floor. 6. Some towels were not very white (greyish) and smelled too chemical. 7. The bedrooms were very dark in general cause its ground floor without sun, would appreciate more bright light.

Super mooi appartement met alles wat je nodig hebt. Van heerlijk ontspannen in de jacuzzi tot alles wat je nodig hebt voor in de keuken. Heerlijk vertoeven in Porto!

De hond van de buren kan je vroeg in de ochtend begroeten. Ook stonk het toilet op de benedenverdieping.

Location was good. Rooms were as shown in the photographs, though the two bedrooms in the main house were much smaller than expected.

Level of hygiene was very poor. Overall maintanence of the property was not good- there were rotten floor boards in the bedrooms, outdoor furniture was shabby, there were cobwebs visible in the patio and balcony. General level of cleanliness was very poor. Also there was a very unpleasant, sewage like smell in the 2 ground floor bedrooms. The 3rd garden bedroom was not well equipped- not enough towels, and no hair dryer etc.
