Stunning Victorian 3 Bed House Central Windsor

Location, close to city centre and castle Facilities in modern kitchen, good. Modern clean bathroom and plenty of towels. Ease of entering and leaving property by using key from a key safe. Friendliness of neighbours allowing us to park in front of their garage as no parking space available when we arrived at 6pm. Use of Wifi. Ideal, no fuss for our one night stay.

Should have read reviews as it wasn't made clear bedroom 2 and 3 only separated by a curtain. Meant far bedroom occupants had to walk through bedroom 2, which had very squeaky floorboards, which woke everyone up everyime one of us had to walk on them during the night to go to the toilet. Wasn't aware, only bathroom and toilet downstairs, again should have read reviews but would be appreciated if the above factors had been included in property discription. Long crack in wooden main front door and poor fitting letterbox I feel would make it very draughty and cold in the living room if staying there in autumn or winter, but luckily we had no cold winds during our stay in July.

The location was good. Walking distance to Windsor Castle and the city center.

This is a very basic home. Parking was terrible and there was only one half roll of toilet paper and half roll of paper towels available for use even though we booked for 6 people and for 2 nights. We ran out of toilet paper and there was no other roll to be found. We had to find a shop to purchase toilet paper which was a complete pain. The pictures make the house look bigger than it actually is. If we stayed longer it wouldn’t suit 6 people.

Its position would be good for visiting attractions. We were there to visit family and they live very close to the location. It has everything in it you need.

It was disappointing, certainly not “stunning”. It’s tired, grubby. The front door has huge crack in it. A window in the front is blown so looks dirty but the could also do with a clean on the inside. The side lights didn’t work. There was lots of dust and bits under table. The double bed in the room with adjoining single makes lots of noise every-time you move. There was no where to hang wet coats. We were charged an extortionate £100 for our dog, supposedly for extra cleaning. Even more disappointing when the house was stained and grubby in places.

Good location, especially as we were easy walking distance into town for Windsor Castle and evening meal. Cottage nicely furnished and kitted out. Hosts very responsive and helpful. Residential parking vouchers worked well.

Bed and floorboards were creaky! 3rd bedroom off of 2nd bedroom unexpected but not an issue for us.

Easy access to Windsor town centre and River Thames. Kitchen was modern but a bit lacking in utensils.

The mattress in the smaller double room was very soft and uncomfortable and the springs made a lot of noise. The property is in the flight path of Heathrow and planes were flying overhead early in the morning and waking us up. There wasn't anywhere to park the car apart from out of view on the road which cost us £5 for a 24hr parking permit. We weren't aware of this when we made the booking.

Awesome hosts and fabulous location. Cute and cosy. Host attentive and helpful.

Kitchen facilities were good, as was the bathroom.

Third bedroom is split by a curtain and also the bathroom is located downstairs which isn’t ideal for families with young children. Especially at night. Parking was difficult and we had 2 cars to sort out each day. I didn’t appreciate the on the dot timing required when we had to check out, again, not great for a young family as flexibility is often needed.
