Entire 3 bedroom house near Caerphilly station

Lovely home, location ideal for exploring the area, clean, good facilities, free parking right outside the property.

We had a lovely stay, I couldn’t possibly say there was anything that I didn’t like. We had a comfortable stay

Easy to park. Handy location for walking to Caerphilly Castle/town centre, and for train into Cardiff. Easy access to woodland walks/Clay Pits and Caerphilly Mountain. Made good use of the rotary washing line.

We expected noise from the trains. Unfortunately there was also night works on the train line during the week we were there.

The host provided clear communication and ample parking outside the property. The location is excellent, with the station just a 2-minute walk away and the town a mere 5-minute stroll, making everything conveniently central. We chose to stay here for a concert in Cardiff due to the frequent 20-minute train rides into Cardiff Central. The house is equipped with a powerful shower and a fully functional kitchen. The three available beds were comfortable, and the house was impeccably clean. We would certainly consider staying here again. Regrettably, we didn't have the opportunity to visit Caerphilly during our stay properly.

In my opinion, check-out time on a weekend should be later (check-in is at 3 p.m., so they have 5 hours to make the house ready). The cleaner or host was literally at the front door bang on 10, and although check-out was at this time and we were already up, it felt very uncomfortable while they waited with the door open. In fairness, the time is published, so being slightly late is on us.

Beds were a little hard

Most things were fine. Excellent location near the station. Very easy to get into Cardiff.

We gave up with the oven on the first night. The technology was beyond us. Couldn't get it to heat anything. Chucked the food away and went out !

Lovely modern and spacious 3 bedrooms house, literally 2 minutes walk from Caerphilly high street and pubs, 5 minutes walk to the Castle. Plenty of parking on the road and as it’s a dead end, no through traffic. Sound of the occasional train at the station wasn’t an issue. Big enough rear garden to sit out with a coffee and breakfast in peace and quiet.

Nothing. Having the bathroom in the extension through the kitchen a little strange but does allow the house to have 3 bedrooms.

The info booklet is very helpful. House is well presented, and supplied.

Only thing lacking was a cloth to wipe down the table/worktops. It’s unusual to be expected to remove bed linen, in my experience.

The property was very clean and tidy. There was a very comprehensive welcome book with all I needed to know for the house and the local area.

There was no initial communication with the host and she was unaware of the booking until I made contact on the day of checking in. However this was rectified quickly and check in was then seamless.
