Cheerful Stays: Spacious Flat in Vibrant Leith

It was fine. Moderately clean, nice beds.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had on booking.com. The first night we were there, someone tried to break in and damaged the lock on the door. I told the host about what happened and let them know we were leaving because we felt unsafe. We asked for a refund because of this and all we got back was £28 out of the $592 we paid for this property. I was met with no helpful responses from Yatin and no sympathy whatsoever. Booking.com has been completely unhelpful as well. do not stay here unless you want to be ripped off!

Location and it was spacious for 4 people

This place is fine for 5 people and is spacious enough. Kitchen area and living room is nice. However overall I would say it’s been very overpriced. It’s tidy but doesn’t seem to have had a deep clean in a while. Bedroom was so dusty we were all coughing quite a bit at night. Cowebs of dust under the heaters suggest really hasn’t been properly hoovered in a long time. And the overall apartment had quite a weird musty smell. There was no welcome pack or notes which is quite typical for apartments to let you know how to work certain things or find stuff like iron, hairdryer or work the heating for water or suggestions of local shop to pick up basics. I realise google is at the touch of our fingers but all these little personal touches is what we pay for in the price. Toiletries weren’t new at all they were half gone so they leave the same for each guests I suppose till it’s finished. Most places would leave mini toiletries of new shampoo, conditioner and soaps at least. The location is fine and easy to walk to the tram. Owner was quick to reply on questions but I think they have quite a bit to learn in terms of hosting. I never really leave such in depth reviews however I really didn’t feel happy with this one.
