Guests highly rate the quiet and frequently praise the remote getaway.
GBWe absolutely loved this cottage! It was exactly what we needed, a quiet and remote weekend getaway just to chill out away from every day life. The facilities were fantastic. Every utensil you could need, underfloor heating, comfy sofa, comfy bed, plenty of blankets if you needed them (not that we did, the place was lovely and toasty). The hosts were great, keeping in touch beforehand with great directions to help find the place (it really is in the middle of nowhere!) and making sure everything was ok throughout. A lovely welcome of homemade scones with jam and clotted cream, as well as a little jug of milk. Didn't get to meet the resident dog unfortunately but a chicken did pop by to see us off which was great. All in all, everything we hoped for.
DEEs ist ein bezauberndes Haus, in welchem man gern nach dem Tagesausflug den Abend verbringt. Tolle Gastgeber, super Ausstattung, alles wirklich sauber, ein schöner kleiner Garten und süße freche Hühner.

GBRaleigh cottage is one of the loveliest places you could wish to stay in, couldn't falt anything about it, to be honest. The fittings and furnishings were to a very high standard and felt very cosy and homely. The whole place just works , the location is perfect for exploring the north Devonshire coastline with beautiful clovelly just a few miles away, Myles and Sarah are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet, and they made us feel so very welcome.the whole of our stay, on arrival.we opened the door to find a lovely Devonshire cream tea waiting for us and fresh cut flowers in vases about the place which was a lovely gesture, The only sad thing about it all is we couldn't stay for longer.but I'm sure we will be returning in the not to distant future. A little gem tucked away in the beautiful Devonshire countryside for sure! Many thanks again, Myles and Sarah, for a wonderful stay. Simon and Julie Thorpe St Andrew Norwich, Norfolk
GBWe were the first occupants of this utterly fantastic thatched roof cottage, it is paradise set in beautiful grounds, the birds and the squirrels coming to the feeder are a delight to view. The kitchen area has all the equipment including washing machine , dishwasher, oven , microwave, toaster, kettle , plenty of cutlery ,cups and glasses, you won’t be disappointed. Up the stairs is the bedroom with a lovely view to the garden and farmers fields, you get out of bed and open the curtains and you feel wow. Although no wardrobe in the bedroom there is plenty of space for clothes, upon the landing is a cupboard with hangers. At the end of the landing is a delightful and clean bathroom, lovely shower, everything worked, Down stairs from the kitchen is the living room, a two seater and single chairs, room heater, tv and good decoration, double doors to the garden with table and two chairs , plenty of flowers and plants to make the garden an enjoyable occasion. The hosts haven’t missed anything, no one can be disappointed. The road leading to the property is single track as are other roads in North Devon, I wouldn’t enjoy driving my MX5 along the road, the Corsa coped with out issue, there is little traffic on these roads and the local drivers are patient and understand us visitors are not so used to such roads. My sat nav took me straight to the property, look out for the Dyer farm side and the holiday accommodation is next door, there is a sign to the right in the hedgerow stating Raleigh. There are no local shops as we would find in the town or city, so bring what you need. We loved it all, you would not find fault. Thank you to the hosts who gave us the opportunity to stay in a thatched cottage
