ARCTIC HOMES - Downtown Penthouse

Good location conveniently in town center. Kitchen had everything needed.

The apartment had not been cleaned when we got there. The owner was responsive and apologetic, and it was soon cleaned, but still it was disappointing to find dirty sheets and towels in the rooms. There was major construction in the street that started early and ended late every day, with a lot of noise. Before you book, check to see if that is still happening. There is no parking, which I think was indicated in the listing. There was parking a few blocks away, but it was expensive.

Good location. Nice big living room. The property manager went out of his way to try to make up for the refrigerator issue noted below.

The power was off to the refrigerator when we arrived. This resulted in an unpleasant odor in the unit. Turns out the circuit breaker had tripped. When we reset it, the frig started working, but it still took a couple of days for the smell to go away. It was quite warm when we were there, which required sleeping with the window open. The property is on a major pedestrian walkway. This means quite a bit of noise until 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning.

The proximity to everything else in town, very good location and easy to get to places.

Only one shower, so need to plan when in a group!

Location that is right in the middle of town. Close to every shop restaurant and point of start of the excursions.

From the pics seems much bigger. Rooms are pretty small and only one of three have a wardrobe. Also there are two bathrooms, but only 1 shower so having only one shower for 5 people wasn’t the best also as there is limited hot water. Internet is ok but not super fast if need to take working calls. No fan in the bathrooms and plug locations aren’t the best. Also light system isn’t amazing.
