Stone Wood Premier Gokarna

The property is beautiful & the common areas are very well maintained. We booked 2 rooms, the premium room is newer and well maintained.

This property is not apt for senior citizens, and the property sent me a message saying that it is not senior citizen friendly only after making the booking. This should be clearly mentioned in the description. If I had known, I would not have booked considering that I was traveling with my parents (75 & 79). The access to the restaurant is only through a very steep staircase and there are no lifts (though, they do provide a buggy to move around the property). Moreover, they make you sign a document saying that they will not be liable for any kind of accident on the property even if it is caused by electrical appliance malfunctioning in the rooms or if there is any fall. We booked 2 rooms, a premium room which was correct and well kept, and a valley view room, which was old and not clean, the pillows were dirty and black, we handed over the dirty pillows at the reception and asked for the room service to change the linen. We did not take pictures, which we should have but just seeing the condition of the room that was given to us, got us infuriated and we complained directly to the front office manager. The property was expensive for Gokarna and the room and maintenance was not worth the money we paid. There are stray dogs in the facility (usually around the pool area or just outside the rooms). The driver washroom facilities were dirty, no sleeping arrangements for the driver were available, the property is in a very remote part of the town and the roads leading to the property were really bad, so it was not safe for our driver to drop us at night and have to look for alternative staying arrangements elsewhere. They charged separately for each driver meal, and the quality of the meal was pathetic. The front office manager Mr. Jagannath was not very professional, when we complained about the maintenance of the room, he threatened the room keeping person in front of us, that his job was at stake.

Ambiance n service. Hotels business is to guard customer satisfaction. As this varies from customer to customer you need to continue to do so.satisfied.

No activities. They shared long list of guidelines but no single info shared that they close down all the fun activities during monsoon season.
