Vale of York restaurant and rooms

easy to check in, ate evening meal, lasagne/pizza and good sized portions, plenty of parking at rear if front full. competitive prices for race day

The room was clean and very comfortable. It was within a 2 minute walk from the station, which after a long journey was very beneficial.

We couldn't connect to WIFI, but had good mobile signal so wasn't too much of a problem. It would have been nice to have had a 2nd bedside cabinet, but the comfort of the bed outweighed both these minor issues.

beds were comfy.staff nice.

could do with a good clean.Disturbed during the night with something scratchings in the loft.

The staff were lovely and helpful. The pub grub was good and plentiful. Very dog friendly.

Very run down with rubbish and cigarette butts everywhere. There was virtually no toilet roll in our bathroom but quickly replenished by the lovely lady on the bar. The duvet was too small for the bed. The plug whole in the basin had what look like old food in it. In the morning we got up to make a cup of tea. No milk and the main building was closed so couldn’t get any.

second time we have stayed at the vale of York. was basic but comfortable. found somewhere to store our bikes which was very important to us. nice pub. cant comment on food as never ate there
