Sanyang Retreats - Serene Getaway

Nicely decorated rooms and great to have own kitchen. Comfortable bed. Pool very refreshing in the rainy season. Helpful on site staff. Close to Sanyang beach.

Building work going on around in the same compound. No actual building noise but half built buildings all around the same compound. Bathroom smelt of urine. Pool needs fixed as lining coming away. No one asked me for payment, I had to be honest and ask how I was to pay.

Everything was perfect. Very modern, high standard property, super clean, super friendly staff and owners. I stayed in 6 different places in the Gambia and Sanyang Retreats turned out to be a hidden gem.

This was a home away from home, it had everything that was needed and was extremely comfortable, I wish I had stayed here my entire holiday.

Very friendly staff. The room was proper and clean and I loved the small kitchen, which provided everything. And the small pool was completing the nice arrangement. Even though the property is not very big, it looks green and I felt at home immediately. Luckily I could park my car inside. I would choose this place again. Thanks a lot.

Unfortunately it was not too easy to find it, because there is no sign outside and to get to the retreat, I had to pass a construction site. To get something to eat in the evening, then you have to walk a bit either to Sanyang or to Sanyang fisher village (paradise beach). Because I was with the car I had the chance to easily move around.

My stay at Sanyang retreats was very pleasant, the grounds and room upon arrival were clean. My check-in was easy & ran smoothly. Daily on-site assistance from Muhammed was very good, he assisted me with anything I needed help with throughout my time here. The management host Nadine was amazing with communication & looking out for her guests to ensure comfortability and safety. Rooms are modern and homely, also stocked with plates & cutlery/cooking materials. On-hand cleaning facilities to use such as mops, brooms, dust pans and washing machines - you can also request a cleaner for an extra fee. Minor - Replenishment of amenities, which were replaced once raised: such as new kitchen sponges (for each new guest as these get used a lot due to self-catering), toilet rolls & bedding/towels. I will definitely be staying at SR again & would recommend this accommodation to those staying in the Sanyang area. Thank you all for your assistance throughout my stay !

The accommodation was lovely, lots of space & modern. The owner & manager were great, lots of information given & communication throughout. Airport pick up was arranged, local taxi driver very reliable.

It was a bit far out for me. However, the owner & manager can help source car rental. If needed.
