All staff are very friendly & helpful, food is good & a lot of vararities.

Lying in bed watching palm trees, sand and many hues of turquoise ocean through your terrace door - does this sound like Heaven to you? You've arrived. Crown Beach Villas, a 2min stroll away from Crown Beach Hotel with it's own sandy white beach are the number One location on Dhiffushi island, where locals live among tourists in perfect harmony. The Villas might be pretty tiny rooms and there certainly are no tennis courts or water bungalows, the locals themselves call their lodgings guesthouses. And that's exactly how you feel, like a guest who's visiting his/her friends Rasheed the manager who has always a smile on his face, Vidad who runs this place, Anil, guide to places where you can see dolphins, huge stingrays, sharks and turtles. His knowledge of everything is endless, even compared to worldwide academic standards. All of this island gives you a tranquility no resort island of the Maldives could ever offer you.

The future outlook of this island might be bleak if construction of high risers has started in full. Today it's only one unfinished house with five or six floors.... Visit this gem in the Indian Ocean as long as it's still sparkling.

Vidad and his team are simply excellent hosts. We stayed there for 6 nights in the beach villa & anything we needed was given to us straight away. The room itself was very comfortable with soft orthopedic mattress for very comfortable sleeps , on the last night in maldives Vidad himself came to another restaurant to give us both a parting gift. Even the guys in this other restaurant said "he's the owner" but is the nicest owner you can meet . We loved the activities the sandbank and turtle point excursion is a must , we were looked after on these trips by Anil, hes an absolute gentleman of a young man . Rashid was the duty manager and was always there to help as was Ivan who spoke very good English, the young waiter also looked after us very well at meal times . we chose the half board option and there was a great variety of foods to choose from , the breakfast with freshly cooked ommeletes was a very good breakfast . I will definitely go back one day ..

There was very little that we did not like so ignore the sad face :) At first we were surprised that there was no alcohol available on the island but we embraced this & decided to use it as an opportunity to have a much neededed "retreat in paradise" having daily massages, swimming with the fish/turtles & relaxing in general ! Even when we discovered that we could go to a bar on a floating boat we decided not to go :)
