Guests highly rate the great location and frequently praise the clean and cozy accommodations.
GBVery cozy and well maintained. Just missed a coffee machine for us!
CAEverything about the property was very appealing including the location and how comfortable and stylish it was. Having a few supplies for arrival was also great.
GBMilk and bagels much appreciated...store cupboard essentials also very useful. Cottage well equipped with everything we needed. Pub within walking distance.
Nothing... Roadworks and overnight closure on the main road altered our plans one evening, unfortunately, but this was not in the hosts control.
GBVery nice cottage, easy parking (one car only) right at front door. Small garden, but great sun trap. Wood burner blasts out heat, central heating easy to operate. Nice to have starter pile of logs left and some milk etc. Sofas very comfy. Kitchen well equipped with full size dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer (small). Mattress very firm (great for me). Yes, you are near a railway line, but it is in a cutting and noise is minimal to zero esp at night. Very little road noise. TV controls work well once you master them - somewhat quirky! Well situated for walks.
Wi-Fi is advertised, and yes, it exists; however sitting right next to the router download speed was 5 MB/s, and upload was 0.05MB/s (yup, back to dial up speed). It's ok to send emails, read the BBC web site etc, but if your files are on OneDrive et al, forget it. Realistically, this works as a much better cottage for 2 people than 4. The upstairs toilet is only accessible through the 2nd bedroom, so you have to disturb anyone in there to use it. The 2nd bedroom bed is only accessible from one side, so the person by the window has to crawl over their partner to get out at night. The bath takes about 10 mins to fill - not a problem once you realise that!

GBVery good location just outside Bath. Lots of walking along river and over fields to Bath Cheese cafe. Good local pub in village. On appearance cottage decor is very nice but soon realised style over substance. Kitchen well supplied for cooking. Lovely to have essentials left for us plus soaps etc in bathroom. Comfortable beds..clean house. Heating remains on thank goodness.
The real problem is the second bedroom. It should not be advertised as a house for 4 people. The second bedroom literally fits a small double bed . The bed is squeezed up against 3 walls. No room for a second person to get in and out of bed. Don't stay here if you suffer from.claustrophobia. There are no bedside lamps in either bedroom so no nighttime . reading in bed! Also nowhere to put one let alone 2 suitcases. There is no space at top of stairs. The stairs are steep and the bathroom.is downstairs. Luckily there is a loo off second bedroom. It's not much fun having the bathroom right off living room especially if you are 4 people. The house was quite cold especially downstairs. Only one small radiator in living room. You do need to use Woodburn er all evening to get some warmth. There is nowhere to hang coats which is strange as coming in from a walk you need to.put coats and boots somewhere. It's a small cottage which would suit a couple but no more..the owners obviously love their cottage and want to let it out but guests' needs must come first. I'm.just glad and relieved there were only 2 of us..my daughter and myself. The second bedroom would be much better changed into an upstairs bathroom. The £800 was overpriced for 4 nights because of second bedroom..
GBLocation was great for us
Due to the weather the kitchen was a bit chilly. Although with the heating and the fire the rest of the house could be lovely and warm
GBThe location of the property was very picturesque with beautiful walks on the doorstep and an excellent pub/restaurant within 5 minutes walk. The cottage was cosy and very well equipped, the owners had thought of everything to make the stay perfect, they even left us a 'welcome pack'. There was nothing we would change about the property. We would definitely recommend it anyone who wanted a short break near Bath.
Nothing
GBBeautiful cottage in a peaceful location.
We liked it all.
GBLocation was really good with great pubs in walking distance and the cottage is lovely , it was really easy getting the bus into bath . the owners were very responsive and very helpful
