Good location for attending Parr Hall

The second bedroom was downstairs in the basement, I didn't see this in the write-up when booking. Stairs to the basement are not great, low ceiling and no hand rail, also smells of damp, the heater down in the basement didn't work and the ventilation fan is noisy. Very small bathroom. There are no mirrors in the bedrooms, which isn't great for getting ready to go out.

The engineer turned up in less than 5 minutes, and was incredibly helpful and polite. And he fixed the heating in the bedroom.

The apartment was filthy. Despite James at the agency assuring us, and sending us photos from the cleaners that it had in fact been cleaned, there was a filthy dishcloth left in the sink, a dirty, old scrubber left in the cupboard for us to use, the fridge stank to high heaven and the salad/ boxes were full of dark hairs. The shower drain had dark hairs in it, and the edge of the shower was so dirty it didn't matter how many times I ran my finger around it, I couldn't get to the white tray. The shower had lots of bottles of part filled bottles of shower gel/shampoo/conditioner that guests have left, which you don't particularly want to use as you don't know what had been put in them. The TV- once put on, flickered on and off for hours and you couldn't turn it off. The only heating in the whole flat was from the bathroom. The phone number that you are given with the key codes etc, is not the one for the agency - that one gets ignored. The apartment above smoked marijuana for the first night of our booking so heavily that my husband suffered asthma attacks so badly he couldn't stay at the property and had to leave to stay with nearby family. They then smoked it again on Friday night, this was after James at the agency told me he had sorted the situation. The hallway is filthy, there are signs for you to leave your black bag of rubbish in the hallway. It is littered with mail. It was so bad, we left on Saturday morning, after 2 nights of hell out of o4 night booking. We are still fighting for a refund with an agency that is now ignoring all calls.

Very small place with one of the rooms being a converted celler/ basement. The room in the basement had a smell like damp to it. There was an endless amount of spiders and very uncomfortable stay. We debated to sleep on the tiny sofa in the living room/kitchen area instead. Had to kill at least 20 spiders before we could have a peaceful sleep in...Communication was awful - we didn't get no free parking as advertised. We were only told after we paid for parking about this. Furthermore no signs of wifi box or login details so when i tried contacting about this, they only informed of the wifi password on the day we were checking out. Toilet is awfully tiny, hardly any room to move without hitting yourself somewhere. They also messaged before the checkout time requesting keys should've been in the safe as the cleaner was there waiting when they weren't and we still had over 30mins left to checkout, had to rush and leave. After the stay I had to chase my deposit back several times and felt like I was pestering them when this should be transferred over automatically considering how nice we kept and left the place. Overall, out of all my stays myself and friends agreed this was probably the worst place we stayed in ever, which is a shame. They really need to do something about the smell and the spider situation in the basement room.
