Solemar Sicilia - Palazzo Vetrano Centro Storico

- great place. Feels like home. Everything you need is there - aircon in each room - very nice design/style - patio with hammocks - very spacious rooms - on check out day, we were allowed to store our bags in a building right next to the trainstation. This place also has a roof terrace with jacuzzis, which we were allowed to use. What a sweet bonus!

- street/neighbourhood feels slightly rough. If you are easily scared, or a woman alone, this might not be for you. But once inside, you step into a nice spacious marble hallway that leads to your beautiful apartment. - the key situation. Only 1 key and this key needs to be in the special electricity socket to have any electricity/light at all. Only thing not connected to this is the fridge. So if your group splits up, key management is an issue. There is a key box next to the appartment door, but this still leaves the front door… you can call the manager 24/7 to open this door, but the 2nd time we tried this it took him 11 minutes to react. Imagine this when you would be out alone in the dark. Or in the blazing heat. Suggestion: a keybox outside the front door or a lock with entrycode on that door.

fully equipped kitchen, super tasteful decoration, the patio, Ruslan was amicable and extremely helpful at the checkout and beyond.

Excellent location - near the train / bus station, cafes and restaurants, as well as the incredible Mercato di Ballarò. The apartment was very quirky and fun, and spotless. It had its own patio, which we loved. Would love to stay there again.

The apartment is just perfect if you want to have an authentic experience of Palermo. Very central, comfy but not too touristy. Also, having breakfast in cozy terrace makes it amazing. The neighborhood is the typical Ballarò market and, on the inside of the building, the apartment is very quiet. Ruslan has been of great help.
