Grace House Apartment - Yorkshire

In walking distance to the shops and local transport systems. Left washing up liquid and sponges to clean pots.

Everywhere needed a deep clean (windowsills, bedside tables, fridge, lots of dust). You can feel the springs in the mattress, and the fabric was all ripped. Sheets were old and unclean. Key kept getting stuck in the door and wouldn't twist. There is no lock on the bathroom door. Curtains weren't up correctly. Little holes all over the ceiling, and walls. Shower tray leaks.

Tea, coffee etc all provided. Kitchen was great and full of appliances.

It was really cold, even with the heaters on all of the time! A lot of cold air is able to come in through the windows unfortunately.

The property was clean and reasonably priced lots of facilities within the property. Plenty of cutlery and cooking facilities, however could have done with a full length mirror as there is only a mirror in the bathroom. A couple of friendly local pubs nearby. A fabulous Indian across the road we really enjoyed the Food there. The host of the property was friendly and helpful lots of nice country parks within a short drive.

The area felt dangerous,fighting outside the apartment,people smashing bottles and threatening people with them,people asking you for money. The parking was horrendous. I was concerned about leaving my car. I spent quite a long time trying to find somewhere that was suitable to park the car however once parked, I was worried about it given the area was so bad. I ended up receiving a parking ticket. It was difficult to sleep on both nights as there was a lot of noise and the bed is quite small and soft. There was a lot noise was coming from the other apartment within the building and people going up and down the stairs after having drinks it got quite rowdy. However, I am mindful it was New Year’s Eve that way were there.

Great location

The flat was modern and well finished. We had an issue with parking but the landlord acted to put things right straight away. A nice place to base your stay from, central to Keighley and walking distance to the Station. Not noisy, and lots of options for food and drink nearby.

Lack of saucepans. no instructions for oven, or heaters. washing machine broken (but there was the option to get washing done in another unit). Whilst the advert says parking is available it doesn't mention how limited it is, or the time limits. We got a ticket for parking as instructed and used the pay and display round the corner for the rest of our stay. To be fair the land lord paid the fine and refunded us the fees. They are disputing the parking issue with the council, so hopefully only a one off issue.

Really well equipped. Very comfortable. TV for the Olympics was a treat!
