Staff were all exceptional. Super polite and attentive.

The advertised hikes & horse rides proved a little difficult to organise. Unfortunatly they would also not let you hike without a guide. As there was only one guide and he had an injury this was far from ideal. Wasnt the end of the world though - i just perched up by the pool instead!

It was a beautiful, tropical, amazing property. The staff were very nice and helpful. The treehouses are so cool, our room was huge.

Because it’s out of the town and away from any stores, etc it should have some quick snack options available. Restaurant food was really good, but a quick grab spot would be good. A hot tub would be nice!

Your administration was terrible. We had to pay for our poolside drinks separately each time we were down there instead of running a tab on our room and the same with our meals having to be paid separately. Being a resort and with the prices of your room stays I would have expected to be able to run a tab like other places we stayed in Nicaragua, remember you did hold $200 on our credit card when we arrived. You allow day passes to locals and other guests from other establishments to come and use your facility (pool) and it took away from the use of your 24 lounge chairs around your pool for your paying guests. Think about how many guests you average and there were not enough lounge chairs to accommodate them. We were not wanting to sit at dining tables and chairs in your bar and restaurant in a wet bathing suite with the expectation that you had to order something because there may be paying customers that wanted something to eat. Not only that but they were in the shaded areas. It also made it terribly noisy for your paying room guests. If I had have known that you promoted day passes that took away the tranquil perception you advertise I would not have stayed. Not only that but I had to pay for our rooms in advance on my credit card instead of a hold with one tally at the end. It was also insulting to have an inventory list that we had to have checked before we could leave at checkout, accidents happen and to be charged for a broken glass or a missing spoon made us feel like we were criminals. It made my stay feel awful and uncomfortable as if we were not trusted. We were there for 3 days and I found myself always checking to make sure everything on your list was perfect. As a Canadian tourist I have no need to take anything in the room home. I suggest that if you are looking to be the outstanding resort you want to be you find a new general manager that understands customer service to make foreign tourists feel more welcomed and valued.

The grounds are beautiful and layouts of rooms are great. Very serene, clean, and relaxing.

Communication was poor- if you don’t ask questions you’re not informed of how things operate- activities, what is included in meal plan if part of reservation, shuttle itinerary. And when you do ask questions the gestures and eye rolls don’t help in making you feel comfortable. Most staff are not so pleasant. Total of 4 people were kind- pool person, two male waiters we encountered and one person at reception, still learning the ropes- out of the entire location. You are about 20 minutes away from the city center depending on traffic. Taxis charge $20 US per person one way. The property sits on a steep incline. We went to the private beach that the resort has access to - they must drive you there- and given a large cooler, which we were told had water in it and in reality it was empty with cups and two empty containers. So we were out in the scorching heat with no water- it’s very secluded with no vendors no restaurant to buy anything. It would’ve been nice if were told ahead of time what to expect, could’ve brought our own waters and snacks.I felt like Tom Hanks in Castaway. They do provide towels just know there’s no shaded area, luckily I like to sun bathe. As a person who travels much and a person of color I can admit I was not too comfortable. They did change our room at our request when there was loud noise from neighboring visitors and can hear stomping not allowing to rest, in which I did appreciate. The room lay out was different - the original room was more pleasant but I was trying to have a positive outlook. In general Nicaragua has not mastered the hospitality realm in terms of large scale like resorts so what can make a positive experience is the staff and communication. There’s better service in small / boutique hotel or private lodging rentals.
