Coco Mount Residence - Hiriketiya

The room and facilities were good. Staff were lovely.

It’s a distance from Hiriketya beach. If you had a scooter or vehicle it would be good but without your own vehicle it’s challenging. Uber drivers etc struggled to find it. Also, there are works currently being carried out on the building so power drops in and out throughout the day.

Spacious bed and room. Easily a super king bed. Hosts were really kind and helped every time we need them.

Needed a 2nd pillow, but hosts provided it when we requested. :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the pleasure of staying at Mount Coco. and I can only say it was an exceptional experience! The family was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Every wish was anticipated, and the staff was always eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The room of the place is top-notch. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The location is in the nature on a small mountain with 10min walk to the beach, yet super quiet, allowing for relaxation after a long day. WIFI works perfectly fine! Overall, this was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and can’t wait for my next visit! Thanks for everything. 🙏🏼

The room was very spacious and well-equiped. The surroundings are beautiful and the staff is very nice. I would definitely come back.

The room is very big and the host is nice.

The Party Jungle is right next door. It was very loud at night but we managed to sleep with earplugs. This is something we wish we had known before booking. The party was only on one of the two nights.

Would highly highly recommend this property! The host is so kind and welcoming, and so is his mother. We stayed 5 nights and it was the most spacious room we had in Sri Lanka! As we stayed 5 nights, the host kindly made us some pancakes one day and got us a pineapple another day - such a kind gesture. The property is in a brilliant location - about a 15 minute walk from the beach. The property is definitely sound proof! On Friday night, there’s a jungle party close by and we were worried it might be too loud. However, you couldn’t hear it at all in the room which was a good surprise!! The bed was comfy & the bathroom is lovely and one of the nicest we had in Sri Lanka. If I come back to Hiriketiya, I would definitely stay in this property again :)

The property is up a hill so if you would struggle with that, maybe not the right place for you (or you can just get a tuktuk up). This wasn’t an issue for us at all but may be for some people!

Great location, 10 minute walk from the main town so it is quiet but not too far. Great AC & WiFi, we were able to watch videos which isn't true of a lot of accomodation around SL. Friendly hosts, always happy to help

Be prepared for bugs - as with any tropical hotel!

The accommodation is very modern and has everything you need. Also the wifi is working extremely well!

Highly recommend this place if you come to Hiriketiya for multiple nights. Would also recommend hiring a motorbike since walking will be a bit too much unless your willing to walk 20 mins each day from the beach and back. The house is also quite steep uphill so a motorbike is ideal. The house is very spacious and clean, beds and pillows are comfortable, there’s aircon and a fan on the ceiling and you have your own small kitchen, the hosts are super welcoming and friendly, and the wifi is great. They’ve upgraded their wifi connection so previous reviews on bad wifi are not the case any more. They even have travel adapters in almost every plug which was very convenient. Also note that the property is relatively large so you can spot peacocks, monkeys, salamanders, etc. outside.

As with more properties in Sri lanka the bathroom has a lot of humidity which causes signs of mold on the ceiling. Hopefully they will find a way to take care of this in the future.
