Everything was very well organized, and every detail had been thoughtfully considered. We were left with a very pleasant impression. The apartment itself was very cozy and exceptionally clean. The location was also excellent—conveniently situated between the station and the city center. It was easy to reach both on foot and by public transport.

The name --Appartamento Centro- DreamingTO 1 -- is not the only somewhat quirky and unusual feature of the apartment. The email correspondence (exclusively through Booking.Com) was at times murky -- though invariably polite and prompt. More important, the apartment has some great features. (I'll comment elsewhere on some shortcomings.) In the first place the apartment is very well located in the heart of Turin and is very near to many useful bus and tram lines and is fairly close to train stations. However because it opens on to a large courtyard that is far from the street, there is no street noise. Also important is that the apartment is very well-equipped and is boldly designed and furnished. I was pleased that the apartment provides plenty of shelves, closets and cupboards -- a virtue very welcome and (unfortunately) uncommon. The bed, the Wi-Fi, the shower, the kitchen equipment were all thoroughly satisfactory. The apartment was clean and in excellent condition. Also positive is that salt, pepper and olive oil, as well as detergent for the washing machine and for the dishwasher, were available as also was a welcoming prosecco.

The apartment is not without shortcomings. While the kitchen/living room has two satisfactory windows, the "windows" in the bathroom and in the bedroom are essentially blind windows which, at best, provide some ventilation and some light. We were not seriously disturbed by that, but true windows would have been welcome. The architects of the apartment deserve great credit for constructing a fairly comfortable apartment within a weirdly shaped space. However, they clearly had to contend with numerous large pillars and beams: as a result in some parts of the apartment the ceilings are very low, and the apartment is neither "airy" nor "spacious". The curtains in the bedroom are translucent: during our stay in late May, by 06:00 the bedroom was bright enough to read a book.
