Phenomenal Home on Coast of Maine

I loved the view and the coffee that was available. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. There were only two of us staying there so they left 2 towels and two washclothes. My host was very quick to answer messages. Our messages were thorough and the directions to the location and how to get in we're very clear.

I did not enjoy arriving and having the house temperature set at 50 when I got there. It was 17 degrees outside. I had planned this well in advance and it would have been nice to have the thermostats turned up a little before we arrived. Upon arriving We realized that the bathroom and all bedrooms were upstairs. Not a problem for most people but when you have a parent or loved one who struggles with stairs this will be an issue. I had sent an email earlier in the week to verify and ask about the stairs because I saw them in the picture. I was assured there were only 4 steps so I thought there was a bedroom and at least a half bath on the first floor. It was a rough night. We walked through the house and I showed him the master bedroom and there was no TV as there was in the picture. This meant if he wanted to watch TV he would have to walk back down 25 stairs and then come back up 25 stairs to use the bathroom and go to bed. It was just frustrating We watched TV downstairs in the living room wrapped in blankets freezing. It was frigid outside so the temperature never rose above 60 the whole night. Once all was done and we left he said the bed was comfortable.

The view/location

We showed up to the water not had been turned on, a empty beer can in one of the bathroom drawers, trash had been overflowed outside of the house that animals had gotten into, and dead mouse remains underneath the kitchen sink.

Plenty of room for our family and dogs . The view of the harbor into the ocean and fresh air. My family enjoyed our stay . Good communication with owner regarding power being restored after a region wide power outage . Very close To Popham beach state park

Totally great friendly family, nice location, great view, spacious, comfortable furniture and comfortable beds and clean.

there was just a little inconvenience because of work being done. It was hard to access the front stairs because of pruning of bushes and the dishwasher and Jacuzzi tub were under construction.
