ININI had booked a room at Nest in Mist two months in advance, with a check-in time of 2 PM. We arrived in Munnar around 10:30 AM and received a call from the villa staff, who informed us that no room was available. He mentioned that our room had been given to other guests who may have paid more, and he canceled our booking, citing that the prepayment had not been made. However, I had booked with an option that required no prepayment, and no staff had contacted me for payment before the check-in day. This was very unprofessional behavior. I was traveling with my parents by public service bus, so it was fortunate that we hadn’t reached the villa yet, as it is far from Munnar town.
