It’s a real shame that no care and attention is paid to this place. It’s in a superb location, with well kept grounds with convenient, free parking on site. It’s spacious, with lots of natural light, huge windows and a cute balcony over looking some looked after gardens. However, the apartment is in desperate need of a deep clean. The mention of “professional cleaning company service” is a MASSIVE understatement. I don’t think they exist. I would question if the place, especially the toilet had ever been cleaned! Ironically I found gloves and cleaning products in one of the kitchen cupboards, and unfortunately spent the first half hour of our arrival cleaning the toilet and wiping down floors. Standards can be HUGELY improved! The photos you see online are all for show. This apartment as it stands is not like the photos when viewed in person, and is NOT suitable for young children, especially a baby who is crawling. The floors were filthy!! The beds are comfy, but with poorly fitted sheets and no mattress covers. The kitchen had no tea towels and some of the bathroom towels were stained, old and shabby. Medication left in the fridge. Lipstick under the sofa. The bathroom sink tap is wobbly and the large shower head isn’t even attached to the shower valve, and is hanging off the wall. The whole place is full of neglect. It has great potential but is unfortunately unimpressionable with roughly painted walls, half painted cupboards, badly wallpapered walls covered up by drawers, half finished flooring covered by the sofa, cobwebs everywhere, and just overall laziness of upkeep. It’s not just a lack of clean between occupants, it’s neglect and a build up of dirt. Hosts were responsive, friendly and apologetic and attempted an effort to rectify. Still inexcusable to have been in that condition when we arrived, seen as cleaner had reportedly only just left. If you’re looking for somewhere to land your head after a night out in Nottingham then it’s ideal.

Pleasant and responsive host. Free paking was a bonus. Location within a walking distance to the city centre.

No tea or coffee tray. The flat needs more thorough cleaning. The door at the top of the stairs doesn't stay shut which feels weird at night.

The shower was broken the big head part of the shower wasn't even connected to a water supply so had to use the smaller part The door to the stairs to the top of the flat didn't close so didn't feel very secure. There was a ring door bell at the front door which I found was an invasion of our privacy, nothing was said on the booking that they have one. Not the cleanest, dust spiders everywhere, squashed spider on the ceiling and just left not wiped away, could have done with a dust and a good sweep. Best thing was the comfy beds.

The apartment surroundings were pretty and private, and the park nearby was lovely for walks. Despite being near a busy road, when the windows were shut it was very peaceful. We could park on the premises. The apartment was very spacious, and the facilities were adequate. The closeness to the city centre was brilliant, 20 minute walk, with a bus stop outside if needed. The communication with the hosts was good and they were quick to respond to any query or questions. Good value apartment for the price.

We felt the double beds were too small for 2 grown adults. Think possibly they were small doubles. The mattresses were very soft and neither the mattresses or pillows had protectors on them. It was tricky to read the dials on the oven as they had worn away. Could maybe do with some more knives and forks. The stairs up to the apartment were very noisy when walking on them and we were concerned about the neighbour downstairs because of this.

It was perfect for us. Excellent location as there is a bus stop right outside the property that leads directly to the city centre. Friendly hosts! Definitely recommend.
