Charlotte's Townhouse

This property is spacious and very clean. It is also located centrally so you can walk to fantastic places like The Roman Baths (10mins walk), cafés, restaurants (3-5mins) and Herschel Museum of Astronomy was a 2 mins walk! 🤩

There are several steps so if you have mobility issues, this is not for you. I love walking but I quickly got tired of going up and down from the top floor to the basement. My kids however absolutely loved going up and down! I also found the room at the top of the house a bit noisy but that is to be expected in any city centre property. You can't avoid noise in a central location.

Number of beds for a family was more than enough and location was ok,but on a very busy intersection. Kitchen equipped but very dark and subterranean. Has washer/ drier

Pictures are misleading. The place needs major renovations. Peeling wall paper, filthy carpets with major stains. Moldy smell on the lower levels. Wasn’t clean except the sheets. Bathrooms were somewhat clean. The back yard not bad but small and all the trash bins are stored there.

Perfect house for a get together for a large group of friends. Central location so everything was within easy walking distance. The combination of beds and rooms was flexible which was great as it meant we could combine sub groups of friends together. Well equipped house with a nice feel to it. This was perfect for our group as we were looking for something a little bit more than just ‘somewhere to sleep’ - we wanted somewhere to enjoy and look forward to returning to between activities within town. And this definitely delivered!

I initially didn’t like the fact that parking was not adjacent and was concerned about loading/unloading our bags/food. However if you use the recommended carpark and park as close to the EV charging area, there is a cut through to the main road. This is worth knowing as the carpark is huge. Once in the house, there is a back entry that leads to another road with a few short term spaces - ideal for unloading groceries!

Nice location. Plenty of space. Great facilities

A couple of toilet seats moved when used. Towel rail looked ready for falling off. Most blinds/curtains were hard for shorter stature people to open/close to the "mangled" state of the pulls.

The photos online made the house look stunning, perfect for our visit. The location couldn’t have been any better.

I wanted to say how disappointed we were with our visit. The photos of the house online made it look like the house was stunning. When we arrived it was nothing like in the pictures. The house was dirty with lines of grime everywhere. The carpets look like they need a good clean. Plus the house smelt. We accept that it’s an old house and will smell of damp. But we didn’t expect to find a blanket covered in sick and for the living room to smell of sick and the kitchen of poo. We know that you came and sprayed air freshener but that just masked the smell for a short time. You need to clean the whole place and find the source of the smell. We booked your house as we wanted to socialise in the living room which we couldn’t do in a hotel. Unfortunately due to the smell we had to go out to cafes/restaurants to do this as we didn’t want to sit in a room smelling of sick. It really wasn’t a nice place to stay.
