Seagrass Cottage in Southwold, Stunning Property with Views!

Ver nicely furnished, well equipped and comfortable beds. Plenty of light in the property. Very handy well supplied shop nearby.

It was advertised as 2 bathrooms but one of them was just a toilet and extremely small sink in the utility room, which is not a bathroom. The advertised parking is very small and awkward to get into, so didn't use it. The key code that was sent to me beforehand was incorrect l, only received the correct one after ringing the booking agent. A bigger TV would be nice.

A great place to stay! Highly recommended. It’s a bit of a walk to the beach (25 mins or so) but we liked that, as it was a bit of exercise! The two main bedrooms are a good size…the third has bunk beds (but we didn’t need to use that bedroom). There is a lovely small grocery shop just a few steps away, which was very handy (but be aware it is only open until 6pm most nights, and 1pm on Sundays). Other than that, there is not a lot in the immediate vicinity. But it’s possible to walk into Southwold.

The only thing I didn’t like was that it felt a little mean in terms of supplies. The bathroom and toilet only had half-used toilet rolls (I do feel that there should be at least a couple of spare toilet rolls in a large property like this). There were no coffee capsules (not even a couple of the first cup). And there were no supplies like kitchen roll, cling film, oil, etc. which meant we had to buy some things we only needed once. Also the batteries in the TV remote need to be replaced. These are all very minor things, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay in the property again. I just feel, given the price, that these little things wouldn’t go amiss.

The property is beautifully designed (we found it quite inspiring) with all expected facilities. It was a joy to stay over there. There is a great local shop in about 1 minute away that has a good selection of food and very reasonably priced.

The arrival and departure timings are quite inconvenient and strict.

Lovely house, in a very nice street about 20 minutes walk from the town centre/seafront. Really nice corner shop 2 or 3 doors away.

We couldn't work out how to manually turn the lights either side of the bathroom mirror on/off - they were on a sensor/timer. Hob was quite complicated to work out too - but we got there!

Great place, perfect location.

Seagrass Cottage was absolutely fantastic. The property has been renovated and extended with exceptional attention to detail and was very comfortable and stylish.

I am grasping at straws to find any fault at all. The original porch to the property is very small but it wasn’t a problem, it is just a bit tricky to negotiate on the way in and out.
