Rosemount Cottage TWO - Highland Cottage

Very well equipped, beautiful and very homely and comfortable

My wife, 2 daughters and myself stayed for the Christmas week in 2025. We were in touch with the host from early Nov asking about Christmas tree and decorations etc. Judith was great sharing information and confirmed the cottage would be decorated with a tree for Christmas, we were not disappointed. The cottage looked really Christmassy, with sheep in the field directly in front of the cottage (we learnt a lot about sheep behaviour over the week) and a river directly at the back, it was really magical! The location is excellent for exploring the Highlands, family favourites were Ullappol, seeing dolphins from Rhue lighthouse and skimming pebbles on Ardmair beach (spotting seals pop-up off the the beach a massive bonus). I can also recommend a visit to Tarbat Ness Lighthouse (East coast, desolate and beautiful) and Glen Docherty. Coming home to a real fire every night was just fantastic. Practically, the cottage is fully equipped, with a washing machine and everything we needed in the kitchen to cook, including Christmas lunch. We all wanted to stay much longer! Highly recommended.

There was really nothing we didn't like.

Fantastic cottage. We have hired several cottages around the area, over the last 5years. Each time, we have choosen a different cottage due to arriving and pictures not being how they present. However. On this occasion, we have finally found a cottage that was welcoming, homely and accessible. Our conclusion, we will never hire another cottage In future, other than rosemount cottage 2. We would arrange our visit around availability dates for this cottage. Absolutely amazing thank you.

Nothing that we did not like about this cottage. Workmen who attended Saturday morning apologised for the noise and not informing us that they were attending - we repeatability told them that this was not necessary, did not conflict with anything and offered them hot drink. There is nothing that this cottage can do to improve the experience.

A super property with everything you need to make a stay fabulous. Such a lot of space with the added bonus of a large garden leading straight on to a footpath to walk the dogs.

A truly beautiful cottage, in a peaceful scenic location. The cottage offered every possible comfort and convenience. It was also dog friendly with a secure back garden and great walks.

It is impossible to find fault!

Een geweldig verzorgde cottage! ALLES top geregeld. Warm welkom in warm huis, waar lampjes branden. Keuken zo compleet en zo schoon. Een heerlijke tuin, van waaruit je zo midden in de natuur zit. Ruime schone slaapkamers met heerlijke bedden.

we had a wonderful time staying in your cottage. It was such a well maintained cottage. Location is great especially if you are on NC500 trip. Also thanks to owner for the chocolate and a bottle of wine. We were so pleased to have booked your cottage and would definitely return whenever we plan our next trip.
