Ein sehr familiär geführtes Gästehaus. Preis-Leistung Top. Gandhi und Nawa erfüllten mir jeden Wunsch. Mein Highlight jedoch war, mit den beiden mein eigenes Curry zu kochen. Immer wieder gerne nocheinmal Thumb up Family Rest.

The hosts are soo nice and kind and lovely. The view is beautiful and the room very very clean. They also brought me to the bus station in the next city. Thank you for everything

Mein Zimmer war leider nicht mit Ausblick aufs Tal aber man konnte die Gemeinschaftsterrasse nutzen sowie für den Ausblick aufs Dach gehen

Sehr liebe, hilfsbereite Gastgeber, von denen wir viel über Haputale und seine Bewohner erfahren haben. Auch haben sie uns Tipps für eine wunderschöne Wanderung direkt ab der Unterkunft gegeben. Nava hat uns sogar zu unserem nächsten Ziel gefahren und Gandhi ist eine hervorragende Köchin. Tolles abwechslungsreiches und authentisches Essen. Beste Aussicht, sauberes, funktionales Zimmer mit warmer Dusche. Vielen Dank für die unvergessliche Zeit!

Nichts

This is a lovely little home stay, it offers just a basic, local, but comfy room & all you need is there. Clean towel, blanket (it gets a bit cold at night), hot water, water cooker & tea, super friendly hosts with enough basic English and the best view possible. Nice Sri Lankan breakfast is possible on request. It’s 15/20 min walk from town but tuktuk easy to get if you don’t want to walk- add the nr and whatsapp the guy & he’ll take you anywhere (pick me doesn’t work well in ella region). The whole area is super beautiful, visited Lipton’s Seat area & tea factory from here and would recommend!

A very welcoming and friendly couple run Thumbs Up guesthouse. The beds are very comfortable, the room is clean and the shower is very good. Location is only 10 minutes walk to the town. We had a really nice dinner and breakfast here, some of the beat cooking we've had in Sri Lanka. Thank you also for letting us use the washing machine and driving us to our next stop. Would highly recommend staying here.
