Riad Le Manzil Beldi

I liked everything: the location in the city, the surroundings right up to the front door, the wonderfully cosy and tastefully furnished Riad, the real Moroccan colours, the materials and the wood and straw products. Isabelle and Khadija are indescribably helpful and friendly. It was the perfect choice for our family. 100% recommended!

Wow where to start. From booking to leaving on the last day, this was a wonderful experience; as a group of 5, we booked the whole Riad. Isabelle and Khadija were excellent throughout. The property was exactly as described, with no hype. A really beautiful Riad in the heart of the Marrakech Medina. It's a peaceful oasis in the very busy Medina. Isabelle arranged a liaison with the taxi driver, who was also excellent, and when we arrived, Khadija was there in the square close by to meet us. The Riad and rooms were spacious, ample for a group of 5 or 6 and we used it as a home-from-home. You will not feel crowded. The dipping pool is lovely, most used it. The spacious roof terrace feels very private, with high walls surrounding it, and it is great for lying down in the sun or sitting at the table. The 3 bedrooms have onsuite facilities, and the whole Riad felt very relaxed. We had our own keys to come and go as we pleased, and it felt like our own home. Khadija lives nearby and provided a lovely breakfast each morning when we wanted it (pre-booked). By the way, Khadija needs a special mention and was fantastic and very welcoming. Outside the Riad, you will have to walk a few narrow lanes (in the UK we would call them alley-ways), but this is very typical for getting to your Riad in the Medina. Its about a 10 minute walk to the main square, and there are food stalls and restaurants close by if you look for them. Once outside the Riad, you can expect a really authentic Medina experience, and you will feel/experience the culture. On a few occasions we were out and about at 10pm, and at no time did we feel unsafe, it's a wonderful and vibrant place. If you are going on an excursion and require pick-up/drop-off the closest square (Sidi Ayoub) can be tricky, I would recommend Lycee Mohammed 5 school as a meeting point. Its only a few minute walk. We were all sad to leave, and would recommend this wonderful Riad 100%.

For us, this wasn't a holiday-breaking thing, but it's worth noting that the internet worked best in the family room (lounge/dining). We were pretty much unable to use the internet anywhere else. The internet was always present in the family room, so when needed we could use it, free and available. Riad's have thick walls, and therefore I think it's to be expected, and didn't affect us. But for some it might be an issue, so I wanted to mention it. Other than that one thing, I can think of nothing else to note.

Beautiful terraces, great breakfast, centrally located

Beautiful and comfortable Riad. Lovely to have the whole place to ourselves. Good breakfasts and Khadija was very friendly and helpful.

The location is quite tricky to find so some taxi drivers were not familiar with it. Once we got our bearings it was ok. We had expected to be able to book the occasional dinner as advertised on Booking.com but this was not available.

It was a great location with very tasteful decorations! I loved how intimate , cosy it was We booked the entire space for the 6 of us .. so it felt very much like our own house in Marrakech . The first night we arrived late , and got in touch with Isabelle to have dinner prepared 3 hrs before and she was very obliging Khatija , made a delicious meal, exactly what we need after almost 24 hrs of travel Khatija ensured we were comfortable from day 1.

Loved our Riad it’s gorgeous and beautiful! Perfect for family. Great size and great location. Loved everything about our stay here! Highly recommend and would definitely come back! Khadija looked after us and is absolutely amazing so nice!

Nothing! Everything was perfect!

Design of the Riad was beautiful. Very clean rooms. There is everything you need in the rooms. All the rooms have their own bathroom which is great. Khadija is very helpful and prepares very tasty breakfasts. We had a minor problem with the pool but it was easily fixed. Thanks to Khadija and Isabel. Highly recommended!

It would be good if the modem is located in a better place because Wi-Fi signal is very weak in the rooms. It was very difficult to find the Riad at first. Be sure to get in touch before you arrive.
