Bluonly Boutique B&B

We stumbled across BluOnly purely by chance while walking around the old town of Vasto trying to find a suitable B&B for a single night stay. Google maps showed that BluOnly was some way from the seafront and yet when we exited the oldtown onto Via Adriatica we were met with a view that took our breath away. BluOnly sits on this street high up on the hill with the Adriatic Sea laid out before us We were welcomed warmly by the owner Paulo and his wife, and we soon were checked into, what can only be described as a Five Star accommodation. The level of decoration and finishes would put any Sheraton, Ritz and Marriot to shame. Paulo is an interior designer and has spared no expense on the total renovation of the property. The two seaview rooms had of course the 180-degree panoramic view of the Adriatic and as they are east facing, the rising sun. The bed, linens and fittings in the room were world class with a well-equipped bathroom One floor above Paulo has created the breakfast area with an open area again overlooking the view. And the breakfast was something to remember. Vasto is a very charming town with numerous small streets amongst the old towns charm. Thinking that we might struggle finding a suitable restaurant (we wanted REAL local cuisine) Paulo once again showed that he knew his role and made us a reservation at La Votta Di Mare which resulted in a spectacular meal of some 5 courses all in Vasta’s local cuisine. BluOnly is truly a stunning example of what a talented team can do to a property, keeping it sympathetic to the local architecture yet providing 5 star accommodation. NOTE: We have no connection to Paulo and his wife beyond being paying guests at BluOnly. Neither are we influencers gaining any monetary benefit for our write up.
