Nothing. Was so bad we couldn’t stay

The whole experience including hosts was awful, dust and spiders everywhere, fat in the grill pan, terrible. We phoned the hosts who said they know they have an insect problem and if we leave right away would get a full refund, the next day they refused a refund and would not talk to us. Paid for 4 nights and stayed none. Booking.com offered a 25% refund not to complain. I am still waiting for the 25% let alone the other 75%. Feels a lot like a scam. Do not stay with sue

Very well equipped kitchen - super comfy beds in large bedrooms - great garden space with hot tub and fabulous location for walks from the door - had a lovely meal at The Whittling House and would definitely recommend there for Sunday Linch

Great location to explore Northumberland. The house was perfect for our family with all equipment and facilities we could want.

No negatives about the property

Perfect base for exploring. There was everything we needed. All room en-suite was a luxury. We had to contact the host regarding the heating. They quickly phoned me back and it was sorted. The restaurants they recommended were lovely (Di Sopra and the Indian -leaflet in the info folder). Thanks for a great stay.

A couple of lamps would be great in the living room for chilling during the evening.

Lack of lamps in lounge area. No dimmer lights downstairs. Limited bathroom soap, No shower gell, washing powder.

We visited as a family of 10 - 6 adults and 4 children. The 4 bedrooms were spacious, each having its own ensuite bathroom. Downstairs there was a spacious kitchen, dining room, lounge and pool room - we never felt on top of each other. On the landing there was a TV which allowed us to set up our Wii so the kids could play games. Outside there is a lovely garden with the hot tub which all the family used. The owners appeared to have thought of everything particularly in the kitchen - the only thing we couldn't find was a toast rack! The owners left a lovely welcome package which was a nice touch. The owners were very helpful before we arrived with information on restaurants etc. It was a perfect location to travel around Northumberland.

The location was great. The property was lovely with 4 bedrooms and bathrooms each which was fab. The host was lovely over the phone. We were late checking in so she couldn't meet us unfortunately but she did go through things over the phone.

Great space, every room had en-suite. Nice dining area and living room. Ideally located for exploring Alnmouth, Alnwick and surrounding area.
