Modern home with SPA

Location is great and central house was clean and tidy

the bed base was broken and uncomfortable the listing says whole house to yourself but there is a man living there we were uncomfortable with this and shortened our stay and booked somewhere where we did have the accommodation to ourselves nearby, but this was a hassle so was not very impressed

The location was incredible, just opposite the mountain views of Jacks Poiny. Great coffee shop a quick walk around the corner and not too far from Queenstown .

Bed was a bit funky and just very simple room no extras

This is a misadvertised shared property where you are staying with a tenant. The listing does not make this obvious enough and we felt very misled. It meant that we didn’t feel particularly comfortable using shared spaces and couldn’t relax.

Sharing the living room and kitchen was a bit strange although we didn’t see anyone, my son was a bit uncomfortable that there were other people in the house. We didn’t have a key for his room.

The property manager/owner using the lounge kitchen while we were there. The description said it was a shared space, but we didn’t realise quite how much it would be shared. Location - it’s not in Frankton. It’s a jacks point.

The property is listed as “Entire home” but you actually only get the two bedrooms and bathrooms to yourselves. The rest of the house is shared with a tenant. This is very misleading and it should be listed as “Private bedrooms”. We would have cancelled our booking over this, however, it turned out the tenant happened to be out of town during our stay. The property is also listed as being in Frankton. This is also very misleading as a quick google search of the address tells you that the property is clearly in Jacks Point and not very close to Frankton at all. It was great to have access to Netflix however the wifi connection was bad, meaning that streaming quality was quite poor. When we opened the wardrobe in one of the rooms, where the mini fridge is, there was a strong sour milk smell. Some milk must have been spilt and was not cleaned properly. The outdoor space where the spa and deck etc is could be a nice space to spend time, however, the garden and lawn has not been maintained well which makes it unappealing. There is also no outdoor furniture so you’d just have to sit on the deck. But personally I would not be inclined to use any of these communal spaces, including the living room, if the tenant was present. Given that many of the facilities are shared with a tenant, I don’t feel the price is reasonable.
