Location was fantastic with amazing views.

You need to be aware there are lots of steps down to the apartment and obviously back up.

Amazing spacious apartment! Breathtaking view! Peaceful and quiet - perfect to relax. Whenever in Taormina, I will always chose la casa nella roccia!

Location was great but be prepared for some steps. This place has amazing views.Decor is beautiful Loved the big deck.A very lovely place to camp out for a few days.

The unique architecture and views were amazing. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do.

There wasn’t anything to complain about. All our needs were met and Sabrina was exceptionally helpful during checkin. The only suggestion is to offer luggage carrying service up and down the steps during check in and check out.

Stunning apartment with fabulous views. The terrace is a key bonus to this apartment as it allowed us to relax somewhere and host friends to drinks who were staying at a (lovely) hotel nearby. This meant we had no pressure to always eat out and when there is great produce to buy at the local market and shops it means you can have a mix of eating and drinking styles when on holiday. As someone who loves cooking this was appreciated. Supermarket Deco at the Porte Catania end of Corso Umberto is better appointed than InCOOP supermarket near Porte Messina but both are good. We bought beautiful fruit, cheese and salad veg at the small local food market. The kitchen, although small, is well equipped and the crockery and general bowls, pans, glasses etc are attractive and certainly fit with the beautiful interior design of the apartment (which photographs very well!). Large TV, good internet and excellent furniture all around. Our friends could not believe that such a beautiful apartment was available to rent and we sat, sipping wines overlooking the bay and relaxed. Communication was excellent, Sabrina welcomed us and we were gifted a small welcome hamper which was very thoughtful. All questions about shopping, eating out were answered quickly. Very attentive hosting. We ate at Gambero Rosso, down steps off the main Corso Umberto and it was good, slightly touristy (but this is Taormina, a tourist destination yet still very, very pretty), food was very tasty, great vibe and a good people watching spot. We struck up conversations with neighbouring tables which was fun and had a recommendation from a young visiting aussie chef seated at the next table to also try Mimmo & Son, Trattoria Tiramisù (Viale Apollo Arcageta) and try their special dish of raw fish which we later did that week and it was stunning! Also ate at at Ristorante l’Arco dei Cappuccini, near the Porte Messina which we enjoyed.

Well, the steps down (123 steps, we counted) have been mentioned by others and yes, if you have issues with steps then, unfortunately this beautiful apartment is probably not for you. HOWEVER, we are a couple in our mid sixties (how did that happen?!) and we managed. It was an effort, I'll not lie, but Taormina is a town on a hill and there are steps everywhere which is how you get such great views. We visited Mount Etna (walked up craters, walked down craters) we visited Alcantara Gorge (276 steps - there is a lift which we didn't take although I would now say, walk down and take lift up if doing again!) and the Greek Theatre ruins (steps everywhere) so in the scheme of things the steps down and up to the apartment are part of the experience of hilly Taormina. But the steps could be an issue if you have mobility problems. We had help with luggage up, arranged by Sabrina.

Amazing communication with Sabrina. The view from the living room & main bedroom is priceless, loved waking up to the sunrise every morning, which I’m going to miss. Beautiful welcome pack. A very unique home, well thought of. The property had everything you could ask for.

Steps were hard work but the view & property made up for it 100%
