Down The Rabbit Hole

This place is really magical - located in the hearth of Ubud, but still, when you walk inside you feel like you are in the paradise - very calm and quiet, with beautiful garden. We love our stay here while visting yoga classes in all different yoga studios.

The location, the whole accommodation, a little jungle in the middle of the city, the room design was perfect

Maybe the exchanges with the staff and owner was not easy

The room looks exactly like in the photos. Everything is still very new and clean. Breakfast was ok - you could choose between omelet, a pancake or scrambled eggs. The staff was nice.

There was a bit of a musty smell in the room, but it didn't bother much

The accommodation looked even more spacious and beautiful than I had expected. I especially loved the balcony that overlooked a forested area. From there, you can hear sounds of waterfalls, birds and crickets. It's perfect for reading, journalling, or even doing some yoga. The bed and pillows were comfy too. The breakfasts were simple but tasty. And I loved eating breakfast at their quaint restaurant below, which was always cooling and quiet, beside a temple. The location is also perfect. Very close to great restaurants, and the main shopping belts.

I stayed in Room 16 and the water heater was not working well. The water was either too cold, or scalding hot. For safety, I bathed in cold water daily as a result, which was not ideal as it can actually get quite chilly in Ubud at night. Soundproofing was not great too. Could hear neighbours easily when they shower or play music. There were also construction noises in the day sometimes.

Proper Ubud vibes, nature, fresh air. Its literally in front of Ubud Market ( center) Lots of cheap stuff. Staff were nice. Room is comfy. Bathroom is decent but no soap, shampoo etc. Breakfast is ok-ish but decent to start your day. Had to ask for special requests like flowers and cake for my mum's birthday and gave it as a compliment. Also late check out at 1.

Don't arrive super late! We arrived the place at 1 in the morning which they knew apparently and nobody checked us in. Waited for over an hour, stayed in one of the balconies super tired. Had to message the person from booking.com but she lives like 30 mins away and the owner or staff never answered the phone. She also said to knock some rooms but then who knew if they were guests. So we had to check ourselves in as I found a vacant twin room with no luggages which I assumed its ours. Told her about it and said to just go in and sort it out the next day. Was scared someone will shout at us whilst sleeping. A bit intense but thanks for staying up late for us. Also if you’re with old people with knee problems probs not as it has loads of stairs and no taxis or grab are not allowed in the place. But everything else is amazing apart from that! :)

No fridge in rooms

Loved the place as a whole. Top location, top decor in the rooms and the whole establishment gave us the impression of being in a jungle despite being in a busy city center! The owners are so nice and will help you with anything you might need during your stay. A great touch is the breakfast which you can bring to your room terrace and enjoy the view if you dont feel like eating in a restaurant. All in all it was a great place to be in ubud❤️🌱
