"A frozen disaster - very rude deceptive owner"

Nothing - especially not the deceptive photos - beware the photos show 2 flats - the pokey 1 bedroom and the larger 2 bed flat. As decorated the same it's hard to tell which photos apply - until you get there. Booking.com should rectify this. It's VERY misleading. Also rectify the owners total lack of instructions re heating, which the cleaner admitted was remiss of them. We have brilliant ratings as guests on Airbnb and booking.com and would never complain unless treated badly. The rude owner of St John's Apartments is a con man who immediately goes on the defensive, multiple excuses and shifting the goal posts to suit himself. I continue to pursue a full refund for this trip that ruined our Christmas. I will not hold my breath for an apology, he doesn't have it in him to be decent.

Horrific owners they are rude and deceptive. Booked for 2 nights. Poor instructions to find the place. Then once inside building, found door to apartment open which we sent to the owner. We entered carefully as the bathroom light was on and we were not sure if the place had been double booked. The flat was freezing. No instructions to work heating so we hoped it was on a timer (this being about 6pm). The heating did not come on. Had to sleep fully clothed as flat SO cold. Door was left open on arrival - anyone could have walked in but no apology from owner, just said that wasn't like the cleaner to do that. Arrived to no loo roll. Called owner. Drunken owner who was at a evidently at a party (it being Xmas night) told me he would 'trust me' by giving me the code to their cleaning cupboard (!) so I could go down the stairs to get myself toilet paper. Seriously - 'trust me' to go into a cleaning cupboard - this is the mentality! There is no view AT ALL from the apartment - it looks over another apartment - they stare straight into the lounge - or you can look at a brick wall out of the bedroom window. Didn't want to phone drunken owner again so left telling him about heating in the morning. The heating then came on a tiny bit so we wondered if he had then switched it on remotely. Cleaner arrived in morning 10 min earlier than arranged as I was washing. She walked straight in so I had to ask her to step outside until I got my trousers on! She came to see if she could fix heating - it wasn't broken just ZERO instruction as to how to turn it up from a totally BLANK panel on wall. As she turned it up I noticed it was set to 12 degrees. She said she didn't feel the cold! She gave 3 options. To upgrade to another of their flats 2. To stay in the flat with an additional tiny heater she had brought or 3. If we 'had had enough' we could just go home.

There were two of us and we chose this apartment because it had a bedroom and a sofa bed in the sitting room. However there was no bedding left out for the sofa bed.
